This year's Railway Studies and Modellers Show takes place on Saturday 14th November, 10am-4pm.

We'll be joined by a number of exhibitors, traders and layouts including Teigncombe layout.

Teigncombe is based on the picturesque, well known sea wall railway running along the South Devon coast through Dawlish, Holcombe and Teignmouth. The red sandstone cliffs have been modelled using genuine Dawlish red sand together with other prominent features of the railway including both Parsons and Clerk tunnels and the spectacular Eastcliff Bridge.

Admission to the show is just £3 per person on the door, under 16s go free! Make sure to save the date and we'll look forward to seeing you there!

Paint & Splash - an afternoon painting workshop for all abilities launching on Friday 4th September, 2-4pm, and then running every 1st Friday of the month. Apply simple techniques to produce your very own masterpiece, all materials are supplied! Book for one date or book for several sessions, it's up to you!

Booking is mandatory as spaces are limited, just £5 per person - contact us at the library to book.

The Hairy Hands of Dartmoor: A Far-Fetched Folktale is coming to Newton Abbot Library THIS THURSDAY 20th August, 10:30am

This 60 minute show is perfect for children aged 6–10 and their families. Expect silly songs, storytelling, puppetry... and some very hairy hands! 🙌

This brand-new interactive family show explores the themes of misinformation, disinformation and online safety in a fun, interactive, family-friendly way.

Brought to you by Running Dog Theatre, created in association with The Story Store, supported by Libraries Unlimited and co-created with young people.
