Jane Bellamy runs Kingsteignton Kiddie Care from her home in a secluded and safe close in the Rydon area of Kingsteignton, just a minute's walk from Rydon Primary School. After a successful 26 year career in the NHS ended with redundancy, Jane decided to refocus on childcare. For six months during 2015, Jane covered sickness and holiday leave at Rackerhayes Preschool. During this time Jane thoroug

hly enjoyed all aspects, especially craft, cooking and outdoor activities. Since 2009 Jane has run the extremely popular 1st Kingsteignton Rainbow unit, and 1st and 2nd Kingsteington Brownie units, for which she was overjoyed to be personally awarded a Citizenship Award by Kingsteignton Town Mayor, John Foxwell in 2014. Jane has two children, Sam (23) and Amelia (20). As Sam and Amelia have done, your child will also benefit from being in a warm and loving home and will be one of a small group. This means that they will have plenty of individual attention. Your child will also benefit from being cared for from babyhood through to secondary school, giving a great sense of security and continuity. Many parents like a family-friendly interaction for their children, and often what starts as a child-minding association results in friendship that can last for years. Leaving your child with a childminder can be the next best thing to being in their own home.

There are so many photos of all the fun things we’ve been up to, it’s hard to select just a few! We’ve done water play, crafts, the room on the broom trail and explored different parts of haldon forest to list just a few of the things we’ve done together 🥰

Happy Childminder Week 💖

We create a true home-from-home environment where children feel safe, loved, valued, and cared for. Through the cuddles, crafts, stories, messy play, laughter, learning, and endless patience, we help shape little lives in ways that last far beyond their time in our settings.

The love, support, confidence, and memories we give to children carry on into their families, their futures, and the people they become.

Childminding is so much more than a job — it’s a role built on care, trust, kindness, and love.

Wishing all fellow childminders a wonderful Childminder Week 🌈👶🌟👦🧶👧🛝
