Spending time at forest school is so good for our little ones. Research in the UK into Forest School and its impacts on young children, shows that children who visit woodlands benefit through development in their:

✅confidence
✅social skills
✅language & communication
✅motivation & concentration
✅physical skills
✅knowledge & understanding

Our little visitors also develop an increased connection with nature and pro-environmental values as they learn about the natural world around them 🐞

But what about the adults that come along too? 🙋🏼‍♀️The impact of nature on our mental health is something we talk a lot about in our sessions. Many of our grown-up visitors report that they feel so much better in themselves after a morning at Dainton Copse Forest School CIC !

💚 We're missing you! 💚

We're busy planning for the new term and bookings for September are opening very soon!

As we close the woods for a break over August, it's time to reflect and say a few thank yous!

Firstly, to our incredible volunteers - Chris, Blanca, Kate, Simon and Emily - you give your time, friendship, energy and support to help Dainton Copse Forest School CIC be the magical place that it is. We're so, so grateful 🫶🏼

Some special people in the local community who have been generous with their support for our little Community Interest Company - Inter-Line Building Supplies , Brad from Evans Tree Care , the guys at Devon Tree Services Ltd for carrying out our QTRA, Redpost Equestrian, Outdoor Play UK - Playground Manufacturers & Installers for those fab totem poles and to Nathaniel and Dave at Morris Architectural Design Ltd (Nathaniel - we'll never stop thanking you for your incredible help!😆).

To the brilliant team at Devon Perinatal Mental Health Team - the work we do together is just wonderful 💚

To all of our amazing families that visit us in the woods - THANK YOU for bringing all the awesome little people along to our sessions - what an incredible start in life you're giving them! 🫶🏼
