We have our food tasting event on this Thursday at 5.30 pm with Olivier providing some tasty morsels from the school menu.

Followed by our bi-annual Online Safety evening which starts at 6pm. The Online Safety meeting is focussed on your children enjoying being online whilst ensuring they are kept safe from harm. We will provide a creche for any children who come along as the discussion in the safety talk is easier without young ears listening in.

On an early morning visit to school today to let the workmen in, we heard a faint cock-a-doodle-doo! One of our school chickens is a boy! We are unable to keep him at school and wondered if there is anyone who can give a home to this lovely cockerel. He is very friendly and we will miss him but we don't want to upset our neighbours. He is the speckled one in the foreground - a Plymouth Rock Chicken.

Has anyone got any spare pieces of decking wood hanging around from a job? We need a couple of pieces to finish off a few bits we are building in the EYFS area at school tomorrow. It was missing off the wood delivery we had on Friday.

Hi everyone. We have four lovely chicks who we intend to keep, so.... we need to build a run. If anyone has spare chicken wire knocking around, or any roof felt you could donate to school, it would really help.
We also need lots of hozelock hose connectors for a water wall we are making in the EYFS outdoor classroom.
We also plan to start selling our school ice-cream next week, so wondered if anyone randomly has a working ice-cream freezer they dont want/need.

Great eggscitement at school this week! Eggs were delivered to school on Monday and last night, 3 chicks hatched out and then another chick hatched today! The children have loved seeing the chicks.
We are considering keeping the chickens - would any parents be interested in being part of the chicken team? We would try and set up a rota for people to pop in to school at weekends and holidays to look after them.

We had our first crop of lettuce, chard and cabbage from the school garden with some of the veggies turning up on today's pizza. Yum!

Just a reminder that it is non-school uniform tomorrow. We are doing this to support one of our parents (Jasmine) who is running the London Marathon for a great cause: The Lullaby Trust. There will be buckets by the school gates for any cash donations.
