I have many years experience in teaching rock and pop singing to adults, teenagers and children. I teach singers from beginners to advanced how to use their body to sing in a safe and healthy way. I help to improve confidence, breathing technique, posture, diction, tone, timing, phrasing, pitch range, pitching, part singing, harmonies, rhythm and improvisation. I can help with more technical qualities like belting, intervals, harmonies and scales. I teach how to warm up in a safe way.

I believe everyone has a voice and I help to find it either in individual lessons or choirs. There is no such thing as ‘tone deaf’ and our current western society has squashed our instinctual need to sing in many people, sometimes being told at an early age that they can’t sing!

As well as teaching singing, I lead Newton Community Choir, Vocal Coach for various groups, front an indie rock band, an acoustic trio, a 9 piece close harmony group and sing and tap dance in a close harmony 40s trio. I am a qualified Primary Teacher and I have a Management degree from The Liverpool institute for Performing Arts. Lessons start at £20 based in Newton Abbot, Devon.
