🌿 A little Kiddie Clan update… 🌿

For anyone local who hasn’t come across us yet, Kiddie Clan Daycare & Afterschool is a brand new childcare setting coming to 106 Newry Road, Rathfriland. 🏡💚

There has been so much happening behind the scenes over the last few months, and it’s lovely to finally see everything starting to come together.

Our aim from the beginning has been to create somewhere that feels warm, welcoming and homely. A place where children can settle in, build friendships, explore, play and genuinely enjoy coming each day. 🥰

We’ll be providing care for babies right through to primary school age, with dedicated baby, toddler, preschool and afterschool rooms, as well as freshly prepared meals cooked on site.

As local mums ourselves, we know just how important it is to feel completely comfortable with the people and the place you’re leaving your little ones with, so we’re putting a huge amount of thought into all the little details.

There’s still plenty happening before the doors officially open, but we’re getting closer every day and can’t wait for local families to finally see Kiddie Clan in person. 💚

The Minimum Standards for Day Care and Childminding for Children Under Age 12 have been developed to clarify requirements laid down in the Children (Northern Ireland) Order 1995. In order to comply with this legislation, applicants should have reached 18 years of age by the closing date.
Post involves work with children and young people and is subject to the provisions of the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups (N.I.) Order 2007. Any offer of employment is subject to satisfactory clearance of an Access N.I. Enhanced Application and safer recruitment checks.

Our allocated collection spaces for St Patrick’s Primary School, Ballymaghery, Hilltown are now FULL. 💚

Our Afterschool children can enjoy a relaxed, fun-filled environment after their school day, with snacks, activities, play and plenty of time to unwind with friends. 🧩🎨🌳

Spaces are limited, so if you would like to enquire about availability for September, please get in touch with us or complete an Expression of Interest through our website.

We’re hiring a part-time Nursery Cook to join the Kiddie Clan team! 👩‍🍳🍎

The role will be approximately 15 hours per week, preparing healthy and nutritious meals for the children in our care. Applicants must hold a minimum Level 2 Food Safety qualification, and experience in a similar role would be preferred.

Is your child starting preschool in Rathfriland or Hilltown in September 2026? 📍

Are you wondering how pick-ups and wraparound care will work around your child’s preschool session?

At Kiddie Clan Daycare & Afterschool, we have limited availability remaining in our Preschool Room and will be offering pick-ups from Rathfriland preschools and Hilltown Playgroup.

Our preschool places offer full day care, giving children the chance to continue their day in a warm, caring and playful environment while helping make childcare easier for families.

Spaces are limited, so we would encourage parents to register their interest as soon as possible.

✨ A little behind-the-scenes update from Kiddie Clan ✨

Renovations are well underway and it has been so exciting watching our building slowly transform into the warm, welcoming daycare and afterschool setting we have been dreaming of.

There is still lots happening behind the scenes, and while we don’t want to give too much away just yet, we couldn’t resist sharing a little progress update with you all.

Every bit of work is bringing us one step closer to creating a safe, nurturing and homely space where children can learn, play, grow and feel truly cared for.
