Things are pretty crazy & after almost 8 years they only continue to get busier 😮‍💨… I have an exciting paid opportunity for someone who meets the following criteria:

⭐️ Studied English Literature to A level & obtained a high grade
⭐️ Obtained a high grade in GCSE English
⭐️ Has good communication & people skills
⭐️ Is enthusiastic & keen to learn
⭐️ Is available evenings & Saturdays
⭐️ Has experience working with younger people (advantageous but not essential)

📣 Small group tutoring availability 📣

I am currently finalizing my diary for the upcoming new academic year and have the following availability in small group sessions :

1: 3rd year Language - Mondays at 6pm - 2 slots available
2: 4th year language GCSE exam prep - Tuesdays 7pm - 2 slots available
3: Unit 1 repeat examination preparation - Saturdays at 1pm September - November 3 slots available

Group sessions are £25 and start WC the 9th. Please feel free to reach out with any queries

✨Seven Years ✨

July 2017 I was in the midst of CCEA GCSE English language & literature studying, having recently completed a teaching diploma & getting up to speed with literacy transfer work. I decided that in the upcoming September I was going to launch a small private tuition business, not only to help students do well in their exams, but to develop a love for language & literature also - similar to the one I’ve always had 🫶🏻

“That’s not a real business idea” & “what makes you think you’d have the right to do that?” were two of the first responses the idea got, & admittedly they did make me doubt myself. But I still thought I could make a difference. So with a “you don’t know if you don’t try” attitude, I put myself out there & decided to go for it 😬🙈

From 1 student a month to almost 30 a week, a local entrepreneur award & a 100% student pass rate, I can confidently say that it was in fact a real business idea and I had plenty of right to do it ☺️

To all my clients over the years who had / have faith in my abilities - I can’t thank you enough! Many of you have become my friends & it fills me with pride to know I was a part of your children’s academic journey 💕

& to anyone with an idea for a silly little business they believe in - “you don’t know it you don’t try” 🫶🏻

Hello 👋🏼

A little update as I know I’ve been very quiet online this past while 🤰🏼 .. We have been doing A LOT of prep work in January during sessions & I don’t doubt that my students are going to smash their summer GCSE examinations 👊🏼

Late April until 20th May I will be holding extra 1-1 sessions / revision study sessions to get 4th & 5th years through the last hurdle of exam prep, then I’ll be going back into mom mode for summer all being well 👶🏼 I will post details of revision cram sessions with availability closer to the time after my existing students book into the extra sessions they want 🙂

I’ve had to turn away quite a few new students in January as I am booked to capacity, but my August 2024 enrollment list is in place (although it’s quickly filling already 😬) . Thanks so much to those who recommend me to friends, family & colleagues - as always it is massively appreciated 🫶🏻

For now, the hard work at JMG accelerates 👊🏼
