ALMAC Work Experience Placements Open

This year we are offering 7 sessions for our work experience programme with closing dates on 24th September, 9th December and 26th February for sessions in Terms 1, 2 and 3, respectively. Pupils will be notified of the outcome of their application after the relevant closing date.
Similar to last year’s three-day programme, Day 3 of the placement will allow pupils to gain first-hand experience of scientific or engineering careers at Almac depending on their area of interest. We also have two-day IT and Business programmes on selected dates for those interested in IT or Business careers. Transport between Almac and W5 on Day 3 will be provided, as required.
By participating in our placement programme, pupils will gain an insight into the drug development process and the variety of rewarding career paths available at Almac, both inside and outside the laboratory, through tours, conversations with staff and activities.
We highly recommend that pupils applying for in-person work experience also register for Almac’s Virtual Work Experience Hub, which contains information about drug development, careers at Almac and day-in-the-life videos of staff, as well as some activities and recordings of Live Q&As with staff working in a variety of different areas of Almac. The Hub gives very useful background so that pupils can gain most benefit from the in-person experience.
