Little Folk Playgroup provides a safe, well-planned environment which encourages children to learn. Little Folk is a registered sessional preschool playgroup.

We provide Early Years education and care for children. Little Folk Playgroup provides a safe, well-planned environment which encourages children to learn through a broad play based curriculum. We are able to offer funded places through the Government's Pre-School Education Expansion Programme (PEAGS) to children in their immediate preschool year. We offer the same NI Pre-School Curriculum as a st

atutory nursery school and session is run by Fully Qualified Teacher (QTS). We are part of the voluntary sector, as we are a parent committee-managed playgroup set up to meet the needs of a local community. We also have a three year old session in Little Folk Playgroup which caters for the needs of children prior to their preschool year. Children can attend from 2 Years and 10 months.

Little Folk Playgroup is looking for a few volunteers who could spare an hour or so to help out at the Kilbroney Vintage Car Show in Kilbroney Park this Saturday 20th.

🌟 Little Folk Playgroup’s Sports Day 2026 🌟

What a fantastic day we had at our Preschool Sports Day in Kilbroney Park! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️☀️

Our little athletes had great fun taking part in a variety of races, including the ever-popular sack race and egg-and-spoon race. There were plenty of smiles, cheers, and excitement as the children showed off their sporting spirit.

A highlight for the children was the parents’ race, which was only the teeniest bit competitive! 😉
