St Patrick's Green Day Assembly 15/03/2024

Our St Patrick's Green Day assembly was a great show this morning. Our classes performed songs, poems, dances and lots of Irish language skills to keep each other entertained. This was all in the name of our patron Saint who our school is proudly named after. Head over to our website to see videos of each of the performances. After our Irish Mass last night and the show this morning we are now looking forward to the Bank holiday weekend.

St Patrick's Green Day Assembly To celebrate our patron saint we had our annual St Patrick's Green Day assembly. A great occasion this weekend when our past pupil Jarlath Burns will become the 41st President of the GAA. A proud day for Jarlath, his family, his club and the county. We wish Jarlath best of luck as President and have no doubt he will do a fantastic job.

We are delighted to welcome Gaels from all over Ireland and overseas this weekend for Congress Ard Mhacha 2024 to the Canal Court Hotel.

It’s a very special occasion, as tomorrow our very own Jarlath Burns becomes the 41st GAA President.

What a tremendous honour, we are privileged to host our national conference and wish everyone an enjoyable stay.

Guess the score Competition.

After the fantastic St Patrick's GAA Cullyhanna - Naomh Pádraig All Ireland Final victory at the weekend we had four correct score predictions in our Guess the Score competition. Each winner gets a share of the £60 prize and pictured are the four pupils who sold the winning predictions with the prize envelopes to deliver. Our competition raised over £550 and 30 Euro for GAA resources for our school! Thank you to all who had a guess!

Our school choir recently took part in a community carol service organised by Dearbhla McCoy and Joanna Doran which was a wonderful night of music and song. Donations were accepted on the night for the Southern Area Hospice and we were delighted that together we raised £850 and E150. Pictured with Dearbhla and Joanna are members of our choir with choir teacher Mrs Allen and a representative from the hospice to collect the cheque. Many thanks again to Dearbhla and Joanna for organising such a lovely evening.
