Year 8 Induction Day

It was wonderful to welcome our new Year 8 pupils to Newtownhamilton High School. Today marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter in their educational journey.

A sincere thank you to Young Enterprise for facilitating their excellent STEP UP Programme, designed to support pupils as they make the transition to post-primary school.

Reminder for Parents and Pupils

We look forward to welcoming all our pupils back to Newtownhamilton High School next week.

✅ Wednesday 2nd September 2026
• Year 9 to Year 12 pupils return to school
• Full bus service will be in operation
• Full canteen service will be available

We hope all our pupils have enjoyed a restful summer break and we look forward to seeing everyone back in school on Wednesday.

Attention New Year 8 Parents

This is a friendly reminder regarding the arrangements for our new Year 8 pupils over the coming days, as outlined in the correspondence issued in May 2026.

✅ Friday 28th August
• Induction Day: 8.50am - 12.30pm
• No EA school buses or school canteen service
• Parents/guardians should provide transport and a morning snack

✅ Tuesday 1st September
• Full school day: 8.50am - 3.00pm
• Online CAT Testing and Induction
• EA school buses, Lisnadill bus service and school canteen all commence

We look forward to welcoming our new Year 8 pupils to Newtownhamilton High School and helping them settle into school life.

GCSE Results Day

A huge congratulations to the ‘Class of 2026’ for producing a record-breaking set of GCSE results.

We are incredibly proud of all that our pupils have achieved and wish them every success in the future. These results are the product of hard work, determination and the support of parents and staff. A real team effort and a wonderful achievement for our entire school community.
