It was a pleasure to support The 174 Trust Sensory Room and Soft Play project, made possible through funding from Wooden Spoon Charity. Being part of a project passionately led by Tim Magowan, which focused so thoughtfully on meeting the needs of children and creating a space that is both meaningful and impactful, was truly rewarding.
Hearing the stories of how these spaces are already making a positive difference reinforces why we at Learning SPACE (specialist sensory and softplay resources) and Diverse SPACE (neurodiversity training by neurodivergent minds) are so passionate about the work we do. Creating environments that genuinely support children’s development, wellbeing, and individual needs is at the heart of everything we stand for.
It was also a pleasure to meet Willie John McBride, President of the Wooden Spoon Ulster Region, who officially opened the new spaces, along with Peter Wood, Chairman, and other representatives who continue to champion such important initiatives.
We are proud to have collaborated with The 174 Trust on this inspiring project and look forward to continuing to create inclusive, supportive spaces that make a lasting difference.

- ‘Learning Space gave us excellent advice and support, helping us to imagine and then provide superb soft-play and sensory rooms, which our children and young adults love’.
