💥 SPELLING Test - Is UK English (Not US) - Specification Updated💥

Although this might be pretty obvious there was a query making the point that technically an American spelling is still a 'correct' spelling (especially for an American child) and there was a bit of back and forth enquiring about the use of American spellings.

Without going into too much detail, SEAG have updated their Specification this year to offer more clarity (my guess is probably in response to the questions last year) but the important thing is that there is now clarity.

To summarise....in the Spelling section, a word will only be correct if it is spelt using the UK English spelling and not the American alternative.
So:
- Colour ✅ color ❌
- Marvellous ✅ marvelous ❌

📰 SEAG Dates Confirmed! 🥳

You heard it here first (maybe / probably 🤣)…SEAG Dates for 2025 have been confirmed:

The actual tests will take place on:
- Saturday 15th November 2025
- Saturday 22nd November 2025

And Registration will open (online) on Monday 19th May 2025 and close on Friday 19th September 2025. I would say, ‘don’t miss it’ but it you follow this Page I don’t think there is much chance to avoid the reminders.😃

Again there is no week break in-between but that worked well last year so no reason not to go for the same model again this year.
