Yesterday, cooking club iced cakes and decorated biscuits using two different types of icing. We used a piping bag to create pretty patterns. The children took their time decorating the cakes and biscuits and were very proud of their finished cakes.

This week in Class 1, we have been learning all about the butterfly life cycle and how caterpillars grow and change into butterflies. We used different collage techniques to represent this life cycle. ๐ฆ
During our outdoor learning, we had lots of fun using tools including hammers, axes and drills to create our own spinners.
Well done everyone for a fantastic week of learning ๐

Class 2: Our highlight this week was a fantastic cooking workshop provided by Aspens, linking perfectly with our D&T learning.
Pupils had a wonderful time tasting a variety of fruits and vegetables, exploring and describing their different textures and flavours. They then chose their own ingredients to create delicious smoothies, with Dean helping them along the way.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed makingโand tastingโtheir own tasty creations! ๐๐๐ฅค

Yesterday, cooking club made a fruit bowl using a Kiwi fruit, Banana, Strawberries, Grapes, Apples, Satsumas, Watermelon and Mango.
