Midlife is often a time of transition of hormones, body changes & life events. But I can show you ho

Maybe you don’t know me (yet) but these are a few things to expect.

Hi I’m Tracy 🙋🏼‍♀️Like most women when I hit perimenopause life felt like it began to shrink with each symptom.

I started to dread those years passing by and what getting older would look like for me .

But over the last few years we made a big move back to Cornwall & I retired from my cancer nursing career. Who would have known…it’s not too late to change at any age as & (accidentally?!) became a small biz owner as a women’s life coach specifically for women in midlife and beyond.

Actually when I began to accept & yes embrace getting older life began to open up in new ways.

It turns out there’s a lot of us that need inspiration & role models and a belief that it’s not too late. So if you’re new here welcome…& here’s to seeing you in new ways too 🫶🏼💕

Life lately from my little corner of the internet..

Early morning light sets your circadian rhythms and helps improve sleep. It’s something I always try to do.

Yesteryear, love it or hate it I’m afraid it was a bit of a slog for me.

Little Rosie & my DIL to be 🫶🏼

The women. We meet we chat we get the sea and then we go back to our days.

Me, shouting “someone has offered to take a photo” !!

Betsy thankfully getting back to normal. On top of her spay operation she had a dreaded grass seed in her paw which laid her low poor little love.

There had to be some serious shopping with the hen and a wedding coming up. I haven’t even been in a Marks & Spencer’s store for months. I was like a kid in a sweet shop just fun to look 🙅🏼‍♀️

Wake up early. Get in the sea. Repeat

Not young & hot but definitely aiming for old and cool!

A lovely message that meant so much 🫶🏼

We don’t see things as they are. We see things as we are.

Little moments that become the bigger ones…what do you think?

I’m so lucky to live by the sea. We couldn’t do without the especially as the sea gets so busy here in the summer.

I was invited on a PR trip with the RNLI to raise awareness about how to float if you get into difficulty in the water, & I was so happy to be a part of it. This was to coincide with world drowning prevention day on the 25th of July.

The gorgeous sadly lost her brother to drowning a few years ago. She bravely told us all her story. He was young fit and had a healthy respect for the water as a marine engineer. It brought it home to us when we heard her speak how the water does not discriminate.

We spent time in the pool with all kinds of exercises & simulations but essentially it was to highlight how the simple skill of floating can help to save lives.

How to find your float:

1. Tilt your head back with your ears submerged.
2. Try to relax to control your breathing.
3. Move your hands gently to help you stay afloat.
4. If your legs sink a little we all float differently
5. When your breathing feels steady call for help or swim to safety

Practice floating you could save someone’s life. Anyone can drown but no one should.

We’re sold a story of how life is somehow less than as we age but I want you to know that is just not true. I’ve had some of my happiest days in this chapter of my life.

From wild swims to Wimbledon and of course the football too and then a PR invite to be part of the RNLI campaign which I’ve talked about in my newsletter of course this week. I’ve got a reel coming soon about this very important topic of raising awareness of how to float can actually save lives. I was so proud to be a small part of it.

Swimming across that pool in all of the gear thinking I was surely going to sink like a stone is something I’ll never forget! It’s good to step outside of our comfort zone because that’s how we grow.

It’s been a week! I’m so grateful to be here & from the smallest moments to the big unforgettable ones I am so grateful for everything.

Remember age is only a number & it’s never too late to build a life you love….& ps COME ON ENGLAND!🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Trust the flow of your life. You can’t be behind in the timeline of your own life I firmly believe that.

Under the weight of all the years of caring for others, you can forget the real you underneath.

Your midlife (& beyond) years have never been a more important time to take care of you and your well-being and emotional health.

It’s time to learn how to embrace change as opportunities for growth, whether its relationships, careers or your kids leaving home & building their own lives.

You don’t need to compare yourself to others. This is your timeline. It’s never too late to become who you want to be.

Save for a day when you made need to hear this again.

Give me 60 minutes!
Your mind listens to everything you say. When I look in the mirror and say “you’ve got this Trace”, I know I’ve got my own back and it really means something.

When I began to see my age as literally a number I began to really live. I talked to women every day and we can get so stuck thinking that it’s too late. We are sold a story in midlife and beyond that life is somehow less than as an older woman but I can tell you I’ve had some of my happiest days in this chapter of life.

Learn to accept the parts of you that may feel flawed or different because those are the special parts that make you unique. Embrace being you there’s only one.

Stop feeling guilty for taking time for you! Being busy is not a badge of honour that we were able to believe. Rest is also productive.

You are enough just as you are. You’re worth is not outside of you. It’s within you and it’s definitely not anything to do with status.

Learn how to love yourself. Back yourself. Become your own cheerleader. Notice those small wins. Success may not mean what you’ve been told it does. Look how far you’ve come and you’re still standing.

It’s never too late to change. You are not your past you are your possibilities for the future. There is so much more ahead of you than behind you.

What if this was your comeback era?!

If this makes you feel something give it a ❤️ & say hello 👋🏼

The REAL summer glow up..

I’ve been through all the stages of life & menopause so far this is what I’ve learned & what I want you to know..

1. Confidence comes from taking “messy action”
When we keep those promises we made to ourselves we begin to believe in ourselves too.

2.Talk to yourself as you would a friend. Be that cheerleader (me?) in your head. Make sure you have your own back because you can’t glow up when you are tearing yourself down.

3.Let go of overthinking. Choose you without over-explaining. Say yes when you want to and no when you don’t. Your brain loves patterns so just because you think something doesn’t mean it’s true.

4.Make room for simple joys and resting without guilt.
Sea swims, laughter and slowing down.

5. Show up as the real you. You are a 1:400 billion trillion chance of being here & being you. There is only one!

6. Imagine goring to 80 or any age…& you didn’t got in the sea because of the way your thighs jiggled or your skin didn’t look like it used to…

Imagine not living your best life because of the way you thought someone might look at you. Why not make this summer your most confident, calm and connected yet.
Those daily acts of self care, routines and rituals can nourish and improve your mind, body and spirit. Take time to focus on what YOU need and your confidence and self worth will grow and glow too.

What do you think? Save this for a day you may need someone in your corner 👋🏼

I like being in the kitchen don’t get me wrong…
but there are other things to cook up too.

✨Life! There’s a lot of life to be lived.
✨Do your thing
✨Stop waiting

You’ll cook when you’re ready right?

A little behind the scenes of real life lately.. no highlight reel. Just those in-between moments that I post to stories but it’s a glimpse of the life I’m living…the one right now is the one we don’t want to miss.

From ice cream 🍦 as big as my head to nights out to bluer than blue sea dips & BLOOPER alert tripping over a boat rope talking to you on my phone 😂👋🏼

Of course it’s not all perfect there’s only so much we can share..but it’s choosing life & embracing what we do have.

Find you - love you - be you!
