Making maths practical and fun is key to engaging learners.

Following my students interests always leads to exciting and varied learning opportunities. From breaking rocks in the garden to learning about how rocks are formed, which inevitably leads to reading, ordering and writing instructions of how to make edible sedimentary rock formations. Yum!

A proud and fun final maths session with a year 6 student today. Using all our maths work and knowledge to create his own maths board game. My work here is done! Good luck with the SATs next week- you’ll smash them!
