If you're planning to see the iconic FlyaSpitfire.com Spitfires and P-51 Mustang during their visit to Cornwall Airport Newquay from 27 July to 2 August, please use the official viewing area.

To help keep surrounding roads clear and ensure emergency access routes remain unobstructed, a dedicated viewing area has been created where you can safely watch the aircraft throughout the week.

See them parked on stand, hear them start up, and catch them taxiing for take-off, all from just behind our fence in this exclusive safe space.

We’re incredibly excited to welcome the newest member of the Flynqy Pilot Training fleet - G-BCIR, already affectionately known as Irene! ✈️

A beautifully equipped PA28-151 (Modified) Warrior with a glass cockpit, she has spent many years training pilots with our partners at Aerobility Charity. With a freshly overhauled engine and propeller, stunning new paintwork, and a fresh Annual and ARC courtesy of our friends at Airtime Paint & Fast Aviation - Light Aircraft Refinishing & Maintenance, she's ready to begin her next chapter at Cornwall Airport Newquay.

We're confident she will provide many years of enjoyable and reliable flying for our students and members, and we can't wait to see her helping the next generation of pilots take to the skies.

We have a little engine running-in to complete before she's available for full training, but she's immediately available for selected flight experiences, navigation flights, IMC training, and EFIS training for pilots already checked out on G-BOOF.

Jasmine certainly made the most of the beautiful flying conditions this weekend, successfully completing her first solo circuit on Saturday in our Cessna 150, G-AYRO! ✈️🎉

The timing couldn't have been better, as Jasmine had just been volunteering at the TECgirls Reach for the Sky Festival, helping to inspire young people to explore opportunities in aviation. What better way to follow that than by achieving one of the most memorable milestones in any pilot's journey?

We’re preparing for take-off next weekend at the TECgirls Reach for the Sky Festival 2026! ✈️

TECgirls Aerobility Charity

Last Sunday saw Joe Thomas successfully pass his IMC Skill Test with examiner Mark Annette in our lovely PA28, G-BOOF.

Joe flew through the course (pun absolutely intended!) in minimum hours and received excellent feedback from the examiner following his test - a fantastic achievement on what is widely regarded as a challenging but rewarding rating.

Congratulations, Joe! Not an easy course, but you completed it like a true professional. ✈️👏
