St Columb Minor Preschool LTD & Holiday Club We love to explore the natural environment around us by visiting local beaches and woodlands and have a large out door classroom.

We offer flexible funded childcare places from 4mnth old till they start school. We have no hidden charges, no set sessions. Our ethos is to experiment with new ways to inspire little minds. We embrace individuality and encourage independence through creative, fun learning experiences.

🌿🔨 Little Builders at Work! 🔨🌿

What better way to learn than by getting hands-on and creative? Our preschoolers have been busy exploring construction, teamwork, problem-solving, and imagination through open-ended building play!

Using wooden planks, crates, pots, tubes, and a whole collection of loose parts, the children worked together to create their own structures, pathways, and designs. 🪵🏗️

This kind of play encourages children to:
✨ Develop fine and gross motor skills
✨ Practise teamwork and communication
✨ Explore balance, space, and early engineering concepts
✨ Build confidence through trial and error
✨ Use their imagination to turn everyday materials into something amazing!

We love seeing where children's ideas can take them when they're given the freedom to explore, experiment, and create! 💚

Our little ones have been enjoying some wonderful messy play experiences in the baby room! 💕

Messy play is such a fantastic way for babies to explore using all of their senses — feeling different textures, making marks, splashing, squishing and discovering what happens when they experiment with different materials. 🖐️✨

There were lots of curious faces, little hands getting stuck in and plenty of opportunities for exploration, discovery and fun! 🥰

We love providing our babies with open-ended experiences that allow them to explore at their own pace and learn through play. 🌱💛

We’ve had such a fantastic start to our Holiday Club, and it’s safe to say everyone is having an amazing time! 💚
From exploring the great outdoors and splashing about in the water, to getting creative with natural resources, building, investigating and enjoying lots of fun adventures together — there has been plenty going on!
Our children have been busy exploring, making friends, getting stuck into new experiences and enjoying the freedom of outdoor play. 🌳🪨🦋
We absolutely love seeing the children getting involved, trying new things and making memories together. 🥰

Growing in confidence together! 🌟

Our toddlers have been enjoying time in our preschool area, where they've been busy exploring new activities, developing their fine motor skills, and embracing new challenges with confidence.
It's wonderful to see them pushing themselves to try new things, building independence, and learning alongside their friends. Whether they're carefully manipulating resources, solving problems, or working together through play, every experience is helping to prepare them for their next exciting step.

Busy little hands, busy little minds! 🌞💦🧁

Our outdoor areas have been full of excitement as the children have enjoyed a variety of messy play experiences. From water play and sensory exploration to pouring, scooping, mixing, and creating imaginative small world adventures, every activity has been filled with fun and discovery.

Messy play is a fantastic way to encourage curiosity, creativity, communication, and problem-solving, while also developing fine motor skills and supporting children's confidence to explore and experiment.

What a wonderful Family Day we had last week! 💛

A huge thank you to all of our amazing families who came along and continue to choose our setting. We are so grateful to be part of your children's early years journey and loved spending such a special day together.

From delicious cake provided by The Flour Pot , messy play to the bouncy castles and brilliant face painting, there was something for everyone to enjoy. Seeing so many smiles and making lasting memories together made it a truly fantastic day.

A very special thank you goes to our incredible team, whose hard work, enthusiasm, and dedication made the whole event possible. We couldn't have done it without you!

Thank you all for making it such a memorable day—we're already looking forward to the next one! 💙✨
