Our dancers had a second workshop with Cornwall Dance School today, in preparation for a performance they are doing as part of Nansledan Arts Festival (who connected our group with the dance school) on June 20th. Our dancers were energetic and enthusiastic as they learned the choreography. Well done all!

We’ve had a brilliant day with practitioners from Royal Shakespeare Company who led a workshop that starts our latest collaboration with the company. Inspired by the touring production of Julius Caesar that comes to Treviglas in September (more info soon), the workshop challenged the students to consider issues around power and responsibility. The group will create a new piece they will perform in Stratford in November. Our guests expressed how impressed they were with our students and what they brought to the workshop. Exciting things to come!

We are incredibly proud and grateful for our partnership with Royal Shakespeare Company and Hall for Cornwall… This festival of performance is the culmination of this year’s work with our partnership schools from across the county, celebrating the joy that is live theatre and Shakespeare. 33 of our students are performing and/or taking ambassadorial roles in this event, bringing over 200 young people from across Cornwall together. Come and share the magic!

Well done to all the athletes from across the Trust who attended today's Inter-Trust Athletics Competition, hosted by Treviglas. It was a fantastic opportunity for students and staff from across the Trust to come together and celebrate their shared love of sport.
Despite the challenging weather conditions in the morning, the athletes demonstrated outstanding grit, determination and resilience, while most importantly competing with smiles on their faces. Each athlete took part in six athletic disciplines as well as the exciting 8 x 100m relay event.
Competition was fierce throughout the day, with strong performances from all schools and the competition was tough across all the events. After a closely contested day of athletics, congratulations go to Treviglas, who emerged as overall winners.
A huge thank you to all the Treviglas student leaders who supported the PE staff throughout the day. From organising equipment and recording results to timing events and helping athletes get into position, your hard work ensured the competition ran smoothly and successfully.
Congratulations to everyone involved for making the event such a positive and memorable day and for embodying the values of teamwork, determination and sportsmanship throughout the competition.

Congratulations to Ted, following impressive success in Wales at the weekend, where he competed in Surf Life Saving GB’s Surf Series 2026, and smashed it! In challenging conditions, Ted won the board race and came 4th in the swim event. Well done Ted!
Many of our students participate in surf lifesaving and are preparing for both Cornish and national events this summer. (The national championships will be hosted by Holywell Bay Surf Lifesaving Club in August, and are sure to be an awesome spectacle!)

Another great day in St.Ives with our year 8s today, as the B side students enjoyed the galleries and sculpture garden. We believe all students at Treviglas should visit a gallery at least once in their time with us, and we are delighted another year group has had this experience. Once again, the students did us proud, with brilliant behaviour that drew compliments from gallery staff and public alike.
Watch out for information coming soon regarding our annual art exhibition and Creative Arts Awards evening coming on July 1st…
