CONSTRUCTIVE COMMENTS NEEDED!! What do you think of this mission statement?
We believe that the futures of our Sixth Form students depend on what they do in the present: on the choices they make; the effort they invest and the support we provide.
We believe that all Tretherras Sixth Form students should be inspired by their subject choice, their teachers and their peers. We also believe that Sixth Form students should inspire others in the wider school community: acting as role models and peer mentors. To succeed in this aim we believe that Sixth formers should be punctual, come ready to learn and attend all lessons. We believe in taking action to support all Sixth Formers in meeting, and exceeding, these standards. We believe that with responsibility comes privilege: independent study time, a stake in curriculum development and tangible rewards for serving our community and achieving personal targets.
We believe our practice enables students to progress academically toward their goals and personally, spiritually and morally towards their adult futures.
We believe our strength is in genuine personal connections, in a welcoming community, in friendly faces who know you checking in with you each morning. We value above all our relationships and dialogue with parents and students. Through this strong pastoral system, and secure working environment, we motivate students to achieve; challenge them to have high aspirations of their futures; and prepare them to approach positively and confidently the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult life.
We believe in all our Sixth Formers.
This is who we are.
