Newquay Tretherras A very popular secondary and sixth form school at the heart of the Newquay community.

Newquay Tretherras is a member of CELT, Cornwall Education Learning Trust. We are proud to provide an exciting comprehensive education for over 1620 students aged 11–18 [including 280 in the Sixth Form] from Newquay and the surrounding area. Tretherras is extremely popular with parents, and is regularly oversubscribed in all year groups, because of its warm welcoming ethos, extremely high standards and wide range of extra curricular activities. The staff work very effectively as a team and the atmosphere at Tretherras is characterised by positive relationships between everyone. Students enjoy being part of a successful school: they are all valued individually and know they are central to our work and that their all round achievements will be celebrated. Sustaining our excellent reputation does not come about by accident: creating and maintaining an ethos in which all students feel they belong and can achieve is absolutely everyone’s priority.

🎶 FREE Instrumental Taster Lessons for Year 7 Students 🎶

We are delighted to offer Year 7 students the opportunity to take part in 6 weeks of FREE instrumental taster lessons.

This is a fantastic chance for students to explore music, learn a new skill, and discover whether they would like to continue playing an instrument in the future. No previous musical experience is required.
