Chief Executive, John Vickers and Director of Business Development, Jean Francois Lucas visited the Ohio Statehouse on 10 December, to speak with the Ohio House of Representatives Aviation and Aerospace Committee about Blue Abyss' research, development and training facilities, and the economic benefit for Brook Park, Cleveland and Ohio.

With thanks for the comments and questions from: Rep. Rachel Baker , PhD, RN, CRN-BC (District 27)- Regarding the wider research and community benefits; Rep. Bernie Willis (District 75)- Ohio as the home of aviation of aerospace; Rep. Sarah Fowler-Arthur (District 99)- The economic impact and international presence; Rep. Dick Stein (District 54)- Visionary partnerships; and Chair, Rep. Adam Holmes- The terrestrial applications and competitive advantage for Ohio.

It was also a pleasure to hear from Maj Gen (Ret.) Mark Bartman of Ohio Federal Research Network (OFRN)/(Parallax Advanced Research) who clearly articulated the return on investment in science and technology programs in Ohio.

NEWS: Blue Abyss is delighted to announce its successful selection as a recipient of match-funding from Crown Estate’s Supply Chain Accelerator Fund.

This funding will enable pre-development work for the pioneering Blue Abyss facility in the UK, further solidifying the company’s commitment to innovation and sustainability in extreme environments which will be an integral component for supporting the growth of the floating offshore wind supply chain.
