I have completed by BA/BSc (Joint Hons) Joint award in Music and Sociology at Bath Spa University. I love to teach and I am passionate about it! I believe that music is a vital aspect of any childs life, the passion and skills will hopefully stay with them for the rest of their lives. In my teaching I involve all different aspects of playing and learning styles, concentrating on specific needs and personality of each student. A lesson may include Improvisation, working on technique and sound, discovering new music - all this I try to engage in lessons for each of my student. I am very keen for music to become an aspect of the individuals life outside of the lessons itself. I will make sure that there are opportunities for my pupils to perform in recitals or in public. I have been playing the flute, saxophone and piano for many years. On the flute I enjoy playing a variety of classical music whereas on the saxophone I mainly play jazz. I have played in a number of bands including, Wind Band, Flute Choir, Big Band, Gamelan. I also play in the Bath Park Lane Big Band I have my own quintet. I teach privately online and around the Newquay area and I have working with children check, police clearance, and public liability insurance. Thank you,
