Sounds a bit silly, doesn’t it? Cut pictures out of a magazine, stick them on a board, and somehow your dreams come true?
I get it. Vision boards look simple—even fluffy. But I’ve been journaling and creating vision boards for years, and I truly believe they’ve helped me achieve so much in my life and business. Overtime I have refined my process based on my coaching and mindset expertise as well as the knowledge I have gained in neuroscience. I’m always intrigued to know how these things really work and the science backs it up!
What is a vision board:
A vision board is a visual representation of your goals, dreams, and aspirations. It’s a tool that helps you stay connected to what you truly want by keeping your focus on what matters most.
There are two ways to create a vision board:
Physical: Gather magazines, scissors, and glue to create a collage of images, words, and quotes that reflect your goals.
Digital: Use apps like Canva or Pinterest to design a board you can keep on your phone, laptop, or desktop.
But it’s more than just an art project. Here’s how it works:
✨Clarity: The process forces you to define your goals in detail.
✨ Subconscious Activation: Seeing images of your goals daily helps your brain understand that they are important to you. As a result your subconscious will start to look for opportunities to help you achieve them
✨ Accountability: Your vision board becomes a constant reminder to take action toward your dream
Whether you’re a small business owner or setting personal goals, a vision board can be a really powerful tool to keep you inspired and on track.
