🌊 And just like that… we’re back.

After a lovely summer break, today I’m walking back through the doors of Kernow Tuition and getting ready for another exciting year.

September always feels like a fresh start — new routines, new goals, new pupils and lots of possibilities. ✨

We’ve been busy behind the scenes over the summer, getting everything ready and working on some really exciting developments for Kernow Tuition.

It feels like a really exciting time for us. We’re growing, we’re evolving, and we’re building something really special. 💜

And whilst the summer has been lovely… I’m very ready to get started!

Something exciting is taking shape at Kernow Tuition… 👀💜

Amy, Rebecca and I have been busy behind the scenes getting ready for a brand-new academic year — and a growing team. 🚀

There are new faces joining us, new ideas taking shape and lots happening behind the scenes as we get ready to make 2026/27 our best year yet.

If you’re new to Kernow Tuition, here’s what we do…

We provide bespoke one-to-one tuition for children and young people across Cornwall, including:

📚 Private tuition — supporting home-educated children, helping students catch up, build confidence or get an extra boost alongside school.

🏫 Alternative Provision — working with schools and local authorities to provide personalised education for children and young people who need something different from a traditional school setting.

Everything we do is centred around the individual child — their needs, their goals and helping them move forward.

And now… we’re growing. 👀

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be introducing you to the new faces joining the Kernow Tuition team, and sharing a little more about what they’ll be bringing to our growing community.

Summer is a chance for children to rest, explore and enjoy new experiences. And that's important too.

A walk on the beach, baking together, building a den, reading a favourite story or helping with the weekly shop all provide valuable opportunities to develop confidence, communication, problem-solving and independence.

At Kernow Tuition, we know that learning doesn't only happen at a desk. Every experience helps children grow.

As families enjoy the summer holidays, remember that meaningful learning often happens through everyday moments.

A wonderful evening celebrating the end of another fantastic year with (almost!) all the Kernow Tuition team. 💜

Although not everyone was able to join us, it was lovely to spend time together bringing the academic year to an end, reflecting on everything we’ve achieved this year and welcoming some of the new faces who’ll be joining us in September.

This time last year our team looked very different. Seeing familiar faces alongside new colleagues is a reminder of how much we’ve grown, while staying true to what matters most.

Building the right team has always been more important than growing quickly. Every person in our team shares our values and our commitment to putting children and young people first. From tutors to admin, safeguarding and behind-the-scenes support, every role plays an important part in the support we provide to families across Cornwall.

To every member of Kernow Tuition – whether you were with us for dinner or not – thank you for your hard work, kindness and dedication throughout the year. I hope you all have a well-deserved summer break, and I am looking forward to welcoming everyone back, along with our new team members, for another exciting year in September.
