📚 Calling all Secondary Schools in Cornwall! 🌟
Too many students begin Year 7 unable to fully access the curriculum because their reading skills aren’t yet where they need to be — and together, we can change that.
Penrice Academy is opening its doors for a Reading Showcase, giving schools the chance to see exceptional practice in teaching reading across KS3. This is a brilliant opportunity to explore what’s working, gather fresh ideas, and learn how to build a reading strategy that truly transforms outcomes.
💡 Why attend?
• See live, high-impact reading practice in action
• Discover approaches that help struggling readers access the curriculum
• Get tailored support from Kernow English Hub
• Strengthen teaching, boost confidence, and improve long-term life chances for your students
📍 Where: Penrice Academy
📆 When: Wednesday 29th April and Wednesday 17th June 2026
Let’s work together to ensure every young person in Cornwall becomes a confident, capable reader. We’d love to see you there!
