St Mawgan Preschool Ltd

We are pleased to announce that we have spaces for two, three and four year old funded children here at St Mawgan Preschool.

Take a look at what we have been up too recently, from visits to the Mawgan Porth beach making sand castles and exploring the rock pools, the Blue Reef Aquarium learning about under the sea and Old McDonald’s farm feeding the animals, also learning more about the farm animals.
(Understanding the world: birth to three- Explore and respond to different natural phenomena in their setting and on trips.)

The children have enjoyed our new forest school sessions with Kimberley, who has facilitated useful activities to enhance their learning in the outdoor environment. They have made fishing rod’s using a drill to make holes in the sticks, flower prints on material using a wooden hammer, mixing soil and seeds together making wild flower seed balls, which were thrown around the long grass at the back of the hall.
(Personal, social and emotional development: 3-4 years- Increasingly follows rules, understanding why they are important.)

We need your help rally fans… 🚜

This fundraiser at Treb Shed was the idea of our late chairman, Dave Taylor (DT) - to create an event with shelter, bring people together for a brilliant day and help top up the pot so we can keep the rally going STRONG 💛

Anybody that knew DT knew just how much drive, passion and love he had for this rally, so we’d absolutely love to see this one go off with a bang.

So we’ve got one big favour to ask…

⭐️ We won ⭐️
On Sunday we entered the annual St Mawgan boat race with a homemade boat that the children helped to make on Friday from our first forest school with Kimberley!
There were just over 80 boats entered all together, all different shapes and sizes. And our preschool boat won ⭐️
It was a great day and there were lots of smiles and cheers all round!!

Well done to Kimberley and the children for their hard work making the winning boat 🤩

We look forward to using the prize as it can go towards our live caterpillars, adding more resources for the children’s learning and development 🐛

Tomorrow is St Mawgan Boat race!!

This Friday 🤩

The road is still closed, but they are currently filling it and should be finished in a few hours!! 🤩

We have asked the people working outside the hall, who are doing the roadworks if the road will re open later today or overnight. They have said the road will be closed all week (over night) until Friday! I’m not sure what time Friday it will re open, if they get the work finished in time.

I can update sometime Friday if there are any changes!
