Hello Everybody!
I am so excited to finally launch my new page for private tutoring of Physics and Maths. This has been such a tough year for those still in education and I really want to help. If you are in secondary school and are either going to take GCSE’s in the next few years, are in the middle of GCSE’s or about to take AS/A levels and you are finding studying hard then look no further! I am offering private summer tutoring either online or within the Newquay- Truro- Wadebridge area for those studying Maths and Physics in GCSE or Physics AS/A level. Through my private tutoring I aim to help students achieve their ideal grades in Maths/Physics, gain a deeper understanding of the subjects and provide support for exams.
What do I offer?
I am offering weekly tuition for pre GCSE Maths and Physics (year 7-9), GCSE Maths, GCSE Physics, AS Physics and A level Physics.
Who am I?
My name is Jazz and I am a First Class with Honours Bsc Physics graduate from Cardiff University. I produced a dissertation of communicating science through education, and gained a lot of experience and knowledge in teaching through this. During my time at university I took part in multiple dance societies, including teaching dance and participating in dance competitions across the UK. I also co- presented a weekly radio show on Xpress radio where I had the great opportunity to interview several celebrities.
At sixth form I studied Physics, Maths, Geography and Music A levels, alongside an EPQ qualification and Gold Duke of Edinburgh.
During my time at school I took part in Sports and Dance leadership, Drama performances, Young Enterprise and English mentoring. Therefore I have good communication, leadership and cooperative skills. As a person, I am very resilient and patient (and fun!)
I have worked multiple types of jobs, including in hospitality (cafe and restaurants), as an entertainer at Parkdean Holiday Park, and most recently as a planning and environmental project manager for wind turbines at Clean Earth Energy.
What are my rates?
1 hour of tutoring online: £35
1 hour tutoring face to face (with appropriate COVID-19 procedures in place- this offer will be applicable after July 19th): £35 + petrol price
If you would like a second hour of tutoring this will be the price of 1 hour plus a 20% discount on the second hour.
Tutoring sessions can be bought in packages (e.g. 2 months) or weekly. A time slot will be decided between myself and the client and this will be repeated each week for consistency.
*The first lesson will be £18 and some of this will be spent getting to know the student, their needs and about their exams boards.*
It is also important to me to make sure students feel supported. Therefore I am always happy to talk to a student about anything that worries them at school or about their future. If a lesson runs overtime because of this, I will not charge. Mental health is very important to me and I take pride in making sure students are accessing the right care, support and encouragement they need to achieve their goals.
