I love this time of year as I get to make more memories with this little face 😍 and it also gives me time to reflect on what’s gone and what’s to come.
I’m not a big New Years resolution type person as I feel they are forced goals that can lead to pricy gym subscriptions and disappointment 😅 but I am into ensuring that I reflect on my present position and set goals that ensure that this time next year I’m in a different one.
There are some exciting things on the horizon for me personally but also the and I have to ensure that I am setting the pace and getting things done.
I am planning to have a proper Christmas break this year, I had a meeting with my admin yesterday to ensure that we are ready to down tools on the 22nd and then I will be back on it for the 2nd. Rest is just as important as activity and family time even more important than both of these. So here is my little reminder that setting a pace for the next chapter is crucial. Next level loading, are you ready?

😁the irony of this picture, this book was kindly gifted to me at the top of the year and I’ve been too busy to read it 😊
I am heading poolside to finally start the read … ☀️🍸

The last weeks of 2023 are quickly dissolving away which leads to the inevitable reflections and the what next questions.
This has been an interesting year for so many people I know, including myself, and it’s led to many decisions that will set the foundations for the upcoming year and beyond.
It’s natural to want to dwell on what hasn’t gone your way or potentially missed goals/opportunities but focusing on your movement is the most important thing, even if you feel like you have been going at a snails pace 😊
My 2024 is promising to be full… some decisions and offers made recently, mean that the next level is loading 📈, my only job is to get my spirit, mind and body ready to take on the challenge.
If you feel you haven’t been on your A game recently , I say don’t be concerned with finishing this year strong, just get poised to start next year ready. whether we are ready or not, so you might as well get ready to ride that wave 😁

Listening to ‘s podcast this morning and he is discussing nurturing the nature of the people in our lives. I love this take as it opens up our thinking to finding the true nature of those in our lives and of those who will enter in time to come.
There is a general conversation in education about nurture or nature when we talk about child development and regulation but I truly believe that these factors are the result of nurture, nature and sometime simply the circumstances of life.
I highlight this as internal, external and environmental factors in my training.
Seeing the true nature of ourselves and those around us is not only freeing but also allows us to discern and create the relationships we want to enhance. It also helps us to enter the perspective of others we may see as different from our norm.
When it comes to it allows us to create space to understand and authentically connect with each other despite the fact that our communication styles and perspectives may differ.
When it comes to parenting, it means connecting with the true nature of our children so we can nurture their God given gifts and resist the urge to create them in our own image 😁
So my is think about and nurture your true nature and the true nature of the circle you are in, what a difference that will make to your outlook and direction ❤️

I’m ending this week completely connected to my ‘why’
Being the founding director of is so much more than audits, consultancy and training (ACT) it is about the individual lives that are impacted by the implementation of my practices and experiences.
I have had so much feedback this week from leaders, class teachers and parents about the difference something I have shared has made to their problem/ thought process and this has made me smile.
This may sound like boasting but 🤷🏾♀️ I’m good at what I do 😁
I have been labelled more than once as a ‘professional rebel’ and I embrace this as it allows me to challenge the status quo, which brings about change, allows others to think differently and hopefully inspires innovation . This isn’t always popular but I do think it’s necessary and the final outcomes speak for themselves.
So I share this to say, there will be times you may feel you are going against the grain or disconnected from your why but stopping to observe your impact can fill your cup right back up and lead you to know you’re on the right path.
So I am ending this week, tired but content that I am fully connected to my ‘why’, even if it means I have to be a bit rebellious in the process ☺️
Happy Friday 🎉

I had a little nostalgic moment this week, thinking of my past roles in the classroom and the impact I made daily in relation to the work I do now and how the impact outcomes differ but they are all towards a common goal of creating a world for people with SEND to .
I had the privilege of speaking on a panel today and also realised that impact can come in many forms. I just have to say that the panel I shared this time with was so full of wisdom and insight, we could have continued speaking for the rest of the day.
I love the fact that I sad yes to an idea and now that idea is my reality. The reality of creating curiosity in my colleagues and championing a great education for all. Look out for clips from the talk in the coming weeks x

There are times you are looking in the right direction and you really don’t know it.
I have had a seriously strange year so far. The highlights of my life have seen travel, days of impact and great business decisions which have all been impactful but the extra bits may need another post at another time. The challenge has been real.
But in the midst of this strange time, I have had the opportunity to stop and look at the direction I am heading in and realised I have been looking in the right direction all the time but was focused on another. 🤦🏾♀️
So my take away is that there are so many opportunities In front of us but are you looking at the right one for you?
Some choices feel good but somehow you know it could be better 😁
So welcome September, it’s the start of a new academic year and I am determined to keep looking in the right direction.

Can’t beat a good sunset 🌅

If this time last year someone would have told me I would camp for pleasure and not on a residential with 30 children, I would have given them a hearty chuckle 😆😂 But here I am, hair reacting to the sea breeze and all.
However, this trip was made by the company, we had a lovely time with these guys 😍 memories were made, experiences had, and apparently a yearly tradition has been birthed - I still need to check the small print 😁
Cornwall it was a pleasure 😍

Are you pausing or have your stopped?
Neither one of these scenarios are inherently bad but if you have become stagnate, directionless or taking a long pause without the next step in mind, it’s time to think about what is stopping you.
Over the last couple of months I have felt stagnate, anyone who knows me, knows this isn’t my personality. Thought to action is my natural motion but this has been harder to do for a number of reasons including getting out of my own way ☺️. Faith, mindset and accountability are all a part of what this coach needs especially when she is reaching for something that feels beyond her reach.
Whenever I am coaching individuals, families or professionals there is always this moment when the answer they have held within becomes impossible to ignore and then the only thing left is action, which is usually the scary bit.
But Inaction is not only the result, but the cause, of fear.
So what is standing in your way? What answers do you hold inside or need a coach to help you reveal that is going to spur you into action?
DM me if you want to learn more about my coaching 😁❤️

If summer with your little people is already driving you crazy, don’t worry only five weeks left 🤯😂
Whatever you are up to, I hope you are keeping your sanity. I’ve had a few messages about anxious children and how to deal with the changes. The first week of the holidays we also experienced some anxiety with Al with not having school and the structure so here are my top tips:
🌟 communicate well - If tomorrow is a PJ day and the next day is a theme park, communicate using charts, pictures or simply a conversation depending on your child’s understanding.
🌟 create a it’s ‘your choice’ board or box where the children who naturally find it hard to make choices can dive in and find 1 - 3 choices ( preferably easy to clean ones 😁)
🌟 find the right clubs. If you have a neurodiverse child or a child who is naturally anxious find the right clubs. They can be special needs focused or just a club that understands and is willing to make adaptations.
🌟 set up those play dates and if you know each other well, set up dates that allow parents to get a break. Honestly, who is looking for solo flights for September? 🙋🏾♀️🤭
🌟 If you’re a working parent. Breathe, it is what it is lol but seriously plan weeks in advance. Line up all your best family and friends, with an offer of hugs and returned favours ❤️. Embrace any anxiety and spend non work time together, the cleaning can wait (or just get a cleaner🤗)
🌟Also take a quick look at our unique summer Family fun blog for more ideas. Link in Bio
I hope some of these tips help and if you feel that your child’s anxiety over the summer may need a little more exploration, my DMs are open. Em 💕
