With the hot weather set to continue this week, we will continue to relax our school uniform for children and adults until Friday 17th July.

Currently, our Newport Sports Day (Thursday 16th) will go ahead as well as school trips, however these will be reviewed on a case by case basis. We absolutely understand this can cause some upset with our children but it is important we risk assess all activities during this unprecedented weather.

Please continue to check your emails and Facebook for important updates as the week progresses.

A message from the IOW Council for parents/ carers who use the home-school bus service:

Dear Parents and Carers,

Due to the current period of extreme heat, the Local Authority and school understand that some families may prefer to collect their children directly from school rather than have them travel on school transport.

If you choose to do so, please note that the Local Authority have agreed to reimburse mileage costs for parents and carers who make alternative arrangements.

To request reimbursement, please email: [email protected] with the relevant details.

The IW Mardi Gras 2026 is taking place on Saturday 4th July in Ryde, with Mini Mardi Gras - free family friendly activities on Simeon Street Recreation Ground from 11am-2.30pm and the main parade setting off around Ryde from 3pm.

We are proud to share that Medina House School will be taking part in ✨ Bright & Glittery Clothes Day ✨ on Friday 27th March.

This special day is in support of a local Island girl, Tula, who has been diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer, Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML).

To help support Tula and her family during this incredibly difficult time, we are inviting all children and staff to come to school dressed in their brightest, most colourful, and glittery clothes.

We kindly ask for a small donation of your choice.
