Too often, fitness gets split into camps.
🏋️ Bodybuilders think runners are weak.🏃 Runners think lifters are slow.🔥 HYROX athletes get called a bit of both.
The reality?
The fittest people aren't usually specialists.
They're the people who can do a bit of everything.
Build strength.Move well.Run efficiently.Stay resilient.
That's one of the reasons I enjoy HYROX training.
It exposes weaknesses.
You can be incredibly strong, but struggle when fatigue hits. You can be a great runner, but struggle when strength is required.
Real fitness isn't just about how much you can lift.
It's about what you're capable of doing when life, training or challenges become difficult.
Whether your goal is:💪 Building muscle🏃 Running further🔥 Completing a HYROX🚶 Walking 77 miles for charity🧠 Improving your mental resilience
The principle is the same:
Show up.Stay consistent.Keep improving.
The strongest version of yourself isn't built in one workout.
It's built through hundreds of small decisions repeated over time.
What's your current focus?
💪 Strength🏃 Endurance🔥 HYROX⚖️ A bit of everything

A little milestone that means more to me than most people will realise.
This morning I received an email from Men's Health about a potential collaboration for their October 2026 edition.
Now, nothing is confirmed, and there's still a conversation to be had, but honestly, just receiving the email felt like a win.
I've had some incredible opportunities over the past few years. I've been up to London to do filming through the The Gym Group, I've met some amazing people, and I've had moments where I've had to stop and think, "How on earth did I get here?"
But this one feels a little different.
I've grown up reading Men's Health. It was one of the magazines that helped spark my interest in fitness, training, health, and self-improvement in the first place. To even be considered as a potential fit for a publication I've looked up to for years is something I'm incredibly grateful for.
What made me laugh most was the fact they reached out to Josh Langan Fitness as a company.
Not Josh. Not the lad walking ridiculous distances for charity. Not the bloke spending too much time in the gym.Not the crazy person training for a 77-mile walk around the Isle of Wight.
A company.
Sometimes when you're building something from the ground up, it's easy to feel like you're not moving fast enough because you're focused on the next goal. Then something happens that reminds you just how far you've already come.
Whether anything comes from this opportunity or not, I'm taking a moment to appreciate the recognition and reflect on the journey so far.
Thank you to every client, supporter, follower, friend, family member, and everyone who has donated to Endure for Mountbatten. Every bit of support has helped build something that, slowly but surely, is becoming bigger than I ever imagined.
Still a long way to go.
But we're moving in the right direction.
💙💛

Comfort isn't always the same thing as happiness.
Sometimes comfort is staying where you are because it's familiar.
The conversation you don't want to have.
The workout you keep putting off.
The opportunity you never take.
The habit you know isn't helping you.
Our brains naturally seek safety and predictability. The challenge is that growth, confidence and progress often exist on the other side of discomfort.
As a Mental Health First Aider, I've seen how avoidance can provide short-term relief, but often creates bigger challenges over time. The more we avoid something, the more power we can give it.
Whether your goal is better mental health, improved fitness, a stronger career, or simply becoming a better version of yourself, progress usually starts with doing something that feels uncomfortable.
Not something extreme.
Just the next step.
One workout.
One conversation.
One application.
One positive decision.
Small actions repeated consistently create lasting change.
Comfort keeps you safe.
Growth moves you forward.
What's one thing you've been avoiding that you know would improve your life?

In 2 weeks time, I’ll be taking on my 50KM Coastal Walk for Mountbatten Isle of Wight Hospice… on Mum’s birthday ❤️
This one is going to hurt physically and emotionally, but that’s exactly why I’m doing it.
As part of the challenge, I’m opening up the opportunity for people to sponsor individual kilometres of the walk.
💙 £10 sponsors 1KM
💛 Every sponsor gets:
A social media shoutout during the walk
Their name added to my support list
To directly support Mountbatten and the work they do for families like mine
Whether you’re a friend, family member, local business or just somebody who wants to support the challenge, every single kilometre sponsored genuinely helps.
This is all part of my “Endure for Mountbatten” fundraiser — 13 challenges in 13 months in memory of Mum.
AND…
In August, I’ll be attempting my biggest challenge yet:
⚡ A 77-mile walk around the Isle of Wight coastline.
I’ll soon be opening sponsorship opportunities for businesses to sponsor individual miles of that challenge too, with business shoutouts, promotion throughout the event and sponsor recognition across my pages.
If you’d like to sponsor a KM for the 50KM walk, or register interest for the 77-mile business sponsorships, send me a message.
Let’s do something incredible for Mountbatten together 💙💛

You know the ones:
“Do 4 squats and look like a Greek God in 6 weeks.”
“Drink this shake and lose 20kg overnight.”
“Take this injection and suddenly become disciplined.”
The problem is people are comparing their REAL lives to fake timelines, edited physiques and completely unrealistic expectations.
This carousel is the opposite of that.
This is what my EXACT journey should realistically look like over the next 24 months if I continue training naturally, consistently and intelligently.
Not “what happens in 30 days.”
Not “how to get shredded by summer.”
Not some fantasy transformation fuelled by filters, needles and nonsense.
Just progressive overload.
Nutrition.
Recovery.
Patience.
Consistency.
Natural progress is slower than social media sells you…
but it’s also far more sustainable, rewarding and real.
The physique is one thing.
The discipline, routine, confidence and mindset you build alongside it matter far more.
If you want to follow the journey daily… providing I remember🤣 follow .with.josh — my dedicated bodybuilding page.
And if you want help building a physique naturally and realistically — message me “COACHING”.

Calories in vs calories out really doesn’t need to be overcomplicated.
Your body is like a car 🚗
If you only put enough fuel in the tank for 10 miles, eventually you stop moving.
Yet so many people are trying to:❌ survive on coffee❌ avoid carbs completely❌ train 6x a week exhausted❌ eat as little as possible
…and then wonder why progress stalls.
Calories are simply energy.
The goal is learning how to fuel your body properly for YOUR goal — whether that’s fat loss, muscle gain, maintenance or recomposition.
You do not need starvation diets.
You need structure, consistency and realistic habits you can actually maintain.
📩 DM me “COACHING” if you want help with:• Fat loss• Muscle building• Nutrition guidance• Training structure• Sustainable results
💪 Also — FREE bootcamp this Saturday. Message me for details.

Burnout in the fitness industry is real.
The early mornings, late nights, constant pressure to “always be on”, helping everyone else while neglecting yourself… it catches up eventually.
Fitness should improve your life — not completely consume it.
That’s why I believe in sustainable training, realistic structure, and coaching that actually fits around real life. No extremes. No pretending to be motivated 24/7. Just consistency, discipline and progress.
Also… my CHARITY bootcamp is this Saturday 💪
If you want to train hard, meet good people and reset your mindset for half an hour, message me for details.
📩 DM “COACHING” for online coaching or PT enquiries.

Now I don’t know if my leg is actually folding in half, or if it’s just that my left leg is under-developed.
But certain movements can be a bit on the ouchie scale.
There’ll be a video up tomorrow (I hope) which gives alternative exercises for those of us with ouchie knees!

Most people think coaching starts with a workout plan.
It doesn’t.
It starts with finally deciding you’re tired of feeling uncomfortable in your own body, lacking confidence, or saying “I’ll start Monday” for the 47th time.
At Josh Langan Fitness, the process is simple:
➡️ Reach out
➡️ Have a consultation
➡️ Get a structured plan built around YOU
➡️ Join a community that actually supports you
➡️ Stay consistent
➡️ Become the version of yourself you keep thinking about
No cookie-cutter plans.
No “fitness influencer” nonsense.
No surviving off chicken, rice and sadness.
Just proper coaching, accountability, structure and a system designed to fit around real life.
Whether your goal is:
• Fat loss
• Building muscle
• Confidence
• HYROX/performance
• Or simply feeling better again…
There’s a route for you.
🔥 PLUS — from 23rd May to 13th June I’m running a gym transformation competition.
The person who gets CLOSEST to their personal goal in that time will win:
🏆 1 MONTH OF FREE PT
This isn’t about who’s naturally the fittest.
It’s about effort, consistency and showing up.
And for the rest of this week:
New clients receive 10% off their chosen coaching package for the first 3 months.
Message me “JOURNEY” to get started.
