We are pleased to let you know we currently have a few spaces available in our swimming lessons at UKSA, West Cowes on Tuesday evening. We commence our lessons at 4.15pm and our last lesson starts at 5.45pm. Lessons range from baby/preschool lessons to lane ability.

If you are thinking of getting your child into these lessons please drop us a message so we can arrange a free assessment ready for them to start lessons.

Getting your little one use to water overhead and around their face is a vital life skill. Being comfortable with water being poured over them, being splashed, is one of the first main steps in learning to swim.

You need to be able to be fully comfortable being submerged in water before you will be able to successfully swim and manage your breathing whilst swimming. The great news is that this can be taught from babies, when we wash babies we need to expose them to water over their heads, showering babies with water or watering cans can also help. When children become slightly older, they can water themselves and pour water over them, this is a massive milestone to overcome in a learn to swim journey.

We currently have spaces in our Baby and Preschool swimming lessons: Tuesday at 4.45pm UKSA, Wednesday at 9.45am at Shanklin Hotel. We also run these lessons on Tuesday morning and Saturday mornings at Shanklin Hotel.

Saturday Swimming Lessons at Shanklin Hotel:

Please take extra time tomorrow morning (Saturday 7th March) for parking due to a private party within the hotel, the car park will be full and you will need to find street parking in the surrounding roads. See you tomorrow!

Today is the start of our new term at UKSA in Cowes!

Lessons run term time weekly on Tuesday afternoon's between 4.15-6.15pm. We run a range of lessons to cater for all abilities from babies/preschoolers/ to Stage lessons and lane groups.

Only a few more spaces available in our lessons so if you are thinking of joining our lessons now is the time to drop us a message.

If you want your child to feel more confident in the water and enjoy swimming then swimming lessons are the answer!

Regular weekly lessons build strong positive relationship between swimmer/water and teacher. Children practice and learn well with weekly lessons. In turn swimmers progress well and their confidence grows enormously.

Just a reminder that group swimming lessons start back tomorrow Saturday 3rd January at Shanklin Hotel as usual. We hope you all have had a lovely break and we are looking forward to seeing all the children again.

We would like to remind everyone we are running our Saturday Swimming Lessons tomorrow morning (Saturday 20th December) as normal.

We will then have a short break over the Christmas and New Year period and we will be back in full on Saturday 3rd January 2026!

We would like to thank you for all the great times we have had this year and seeing the children progress, it's really the best feeling as a teacher when you see the children progress and enjoy being in the water!
