We had lots of fun making cakes today!

Each child was given the responsibility of measuring and adding an ingredient to the mix.

They took turns to whisk the ingredients together, observing how the mixture changes with each added ingredient.

They then took turns to scoop and pour the batter into the cake cases.

After cooking, we added melted chocolate and sprinkles as decoration.

This activity supports independence, team work and a sense of achievement ❤️

We love a free/cheap day out!

This morning, we headed to Drago Lounge - Newport to enjoy their yummy FREE children's breakfast, then stayed to play with toys and enjoyed colouring during their Mother and Toddler group.

We then headed to Newport beach, to scoop and pour the sand, and hide our feet in the sand.

We convinced Kirsty to let us enjoy the rides on the way back to the car.

Then we went home to enjoy some fun in the garden.

We had the best morning at the farm, today!

All of the children loved looking at, stroking and feeding the animals and they were all so gentle with them.

We listened carefully during the milking demonstration, as the lady told us all about how milking works.

We enjoyed a special cuddle corner time, where we got to hold and stroke the rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, a sheep and a goat. We also got to feed them cabbage.

Lastly, we had such a fun time on the bumpy tractor ride. We were all laughing each time the tractor went *bumpety bump*.

I asked tge children what animals were their favourite today, one said cow, one said rabbit and the other said pig.

After a busy morning, we were all so tired that we started to fall asleep in the car. So it was home for naps all round, with the fan to keep us cool.

National Doughnut Week 2026 🍩🍩🍩

Of course, we had to celebrate national Doughnut week!

We decorated our own yummy doughnuts to take home. We chose between white and milk chocolate and added smarties, and sprinkles.

We made paper plate doughnuts by adding coloured tissue paper with glue.

We also did beautiful doughnut colouring pictures. Using different colours to be creative.

Lastly, we enjoyed playing with the doughnut sensory tray - exploring the different coloured chickpeas and doughnuts.

Today was International Museum Day.Unfortunately, the local museum was closed 😔. But we have had lots of fun times visit...

Today was International Museum Day.

Unfortunately, the local museum was closed 😔. But we have had lots of fun times visiting in the past.

Today, we enjoyed playing with the dinosaur museum tray, alongside dinosaur fact cards.

The children also enjoyed exploring our "historical artifacts" - including different gem stones, jewellery, trophies and medals.

We made some beautiful museum artifacts colouring pictures, using different colours to be creative.

Lastly, our school children chose a famous painting to copy. They made fantastic representations of Da Vinci's Mona Lisa and Van Gogh's Sunflowers.

We finally got around to using our lovely planter.

The after school children enjoyed scooping the compost into our planter, made holes for the plants and selected marigolds to plant.

This was a really fun activity and encouraged turn taking and taking care.

This week is Childminders week!I am very fortunate to care for such wonderful children and work with fantastic families....

This week is Childminders week!

I am very fortunate to care for such wonderful children and work with fantastic families.

I feel greatful every day to play a part in these little humans lives. To know that I was there to support the future generation.

Celebrating Cinco de Mayo🦙🇲🇽

We enjoyed taking turns to hit the piñata to reach all the goodies inside!

We also played with the Mexican themed tuff tray and the taco making.

For snack, we enjoyed yummy tortilla chips with cheese and tex mex dips.
