Toddles have enjoyed exploring a variety of ocean-themed sensory activities using water, sand, shells, and sea creatures. Through play, they developed their curiosity, imagination, fine motor skills, and understanding of the world around them.

๐ŸŒฑ Our Garden ๐Ÿฅ•โ˜€๏ธ
The preschoolers have loved spending time in our garden this week ๐Ÿ˜Š, getting hands-on with planting and growing. They worked together to plant a variety of crops ๐ŸŒผ, carefully filling pots with soil, watering the plants, and learning about how things grow. There was lots of excitement as the children harvested fresh carrots from the garden ๐Ÿฅ•, proudly digging them up and exploring their different shapes and sizes. Through gardening, the children enjoyed sensory experiences, teamwork, and learning about nature and healthy foods ๐ŸŒฟโœจ It has been a wonderful week full of discovery, care, and outdoor fun!

๐ŸŒฟ Today in the garden, the children had so much fun exploring and building! ๐Ÿชตโœจ

Using the large wooden blocks, the children worked together to create tall towers, carefully balancing and stacking as high as they could. This activity encouraged problem solving, teamwork, hand-eye coordination and lots of concentration! ๐Ÿ’š

Alongside this, the children loved exploring our sensory flower garden, using scoops and bowls to pour, mix and investigate different textures and colours ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒˆ

It has been wonderful to see the children so engaged in their outdoor learning and creativity today! โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿƒ

In transition this week our biggest fascination has been bugs! We have been exploring all areas of the garden and found lots and lots of ladybirds,snails and even butterflyโ€™s and each time we have been so excited! We have really enjoyed coming together as a team to find our biggest fascinations of the week and sparking so much communication within the room๐Ÿž๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ”Ž

Our little explorers have had a fantastic time learning all about animals this week! ๐Ÿ’š From Earth Day ๐ŸŒฑ to creating animal habitats, digging for fossils ๐Ÿฆ• and exploring bug gardens ๐Ÿžโ€”the children have been busy learning through hands-on play.

Weโ€™ve had a lovely time enjoying the sunshine in the garden ๐Ÿ˜Š, where the children explored obstacle courses, practised their balancing skills, and had lots of fun running and playing together. There was plenty of sensory play too, from washing baby dolls in bubbly water ๐Ÿซง to exploring colourful foam and water play ๐ŸŽจ, as well as mark making and building activities. It was a fun-filled week of learning, creativity, and laughter! โœจ

This week in preschool, our little explorers have journeyed to two exciting parts of the world through play! They spent time in the vibrant Jungle, where they discovered all kinds of fascinating animals and plants. The children enjoyed using their imaginations to create their own jungle adventures, pretending to rawr like lions ๐Ÿฆ

They also ventured to the chilly Antarctic, where they learned about the icy landscape and the fascinating creatures that call it home, like penguins and seals. The children had a great time making snowballs, deepening their understanding of different environments. โ„๏ธ

Through these imaginative journeys, the children are learning about the world around them while developing their creativity and social skills. It's wonderful to see them engaged and enthusiastic in their play

From fluffy chicks ๐Ÿฅ and bright spring flowers ๐ŸŒผ to creative bunny designs ๐Ÿ‡ and colourful eggs ๐Ÿฅš โ€“ every single bonnet is full of imagination, effort and Easter joy!

Weโ€™ve had a lovely time exploring spring through hands-on experiences this week! ๐ŸŒผ

The children enjoyed using their fine motor skills to explore a beautiful flower using coloured oats, exploring our mini beast train track, and getting creative with our nature table ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿž

Lots of sensory play, imagination, and teamwork all round โ€“ itโ€™s been a fantastic week of learning through play! ๐Ÿ’›
