Fun in the Sun at Appley Beach!

On Tuesday, our Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 pupils enjoyed a fantastic morning trip to Appley Beach. The children had a brilliant time, and we were so proud of their impeccable behaviour throughout the visit—they represented our school brilliantly!

mportant Update: School Meal Prices

We are writing to inform you that starting 2nd September 2026 our catering provider, Chartwells, will be increasing the cost of a daily school lunch to £3.20.

Like many of us have experienced at home, the cost of food ingredients and supplies has risen significantly over recent months. To ensure that Chartwells can continue providing hot, delicious, and nutritionally balanced meals that fuel our pupils through the school day, this price adjustment has become necessary.

What this means for you:

New Daily Rate: School lunches will now be £3.20 per day.
Nutritional Standards: Meals will continue to meet strict national food standards, offering a fresh main dish, sides, and a healthy dessert option daily.
Free School Meals: If your child is eligible for Free School Meals or Universal Infant Free School Meals (Reception to Year 2), this price change will not affect you.
We understand that price increases are never welcome news, and this decision was not made lightly. Chartwells remains committed to delivering great value and high-quality meals that support your child’s health and learning.

Need assistance? If you think your family may be eligible for Free School Meals, please visit Free school meals - https://www.iow.gov.uk/article/2436/Free-school-meals

Debt to school

If you have an outstanding balance due to the school, please log into your child’s School Money account. You can pay the debt in full using a card payment. Alternatively, we can set up a weekly/monthly payment plan to pay the debt off in instalments. To do this, please contact the school office.

If the debt is due to school lunches, you will need to provide your child with a packed lunch until meal costs are settled. If the debt is due to after school club, your child will not be able to attend.

If you haven’t either paid off the debt or contacted us to set up a payment plan, we will invite you to a meeting to explore options to help you pay the amount above. If you don’t attend or if we don’t reach a satisfactory result together, we may seek legal advice on recovering the debt.
