We are hiring!

We are looking for a kitchen assistant to work in our busy kitchen and also support with cleaning.

The hours would be 9.30am-1.30pm Monday to Friday and this would increase to 7.30am-1.30pm to cover in the absence of the nursery cook (holidays and sickness).

A level 2 in food hygiene is desirable and the successful candidate would need to complete level 3 food hygiene training and other relevant training (allergen, safeguarding, etc).

The job is subject to an enhanced DBS check and two references.

From April, Flying Start free childcare for two-year-olds is being expanded across the whole of Newport. Families will no longer need to live in certain postcode areas to apply for up to 12.5 hours of childcare per week in a registered setting.

With the weather finally giving us a break, the children were able to get outside and delve straight into the Mud Kitchen. From exploring schematic play to enhancing those mathematical and problem solving skills to socialising with friends. This is what matters, learning through play! 🙌🏼

STAFF WELLBEING

recently we’ve taken the time to transform our staff room and investing in staff wellbeing by creating a homely, relaxing environment for staff to enjoy their break.

We’ve added-
A sofa and chairs
An air fryer
Photos from staff social events
Wallpaper
Replenished the tea, coffee, hot chocolate stand and regular biscuit treats.

This is just a small gesture to thank all our hardworking and dedicated staff. 🫶🏻

Soo, let’s catch up! Last week we celebrated Diwali. Diwali is the festival of light and we had soo much fun! From making nature diya lamps, exploring rangoli patterns, making our very own chalk paints to create very big rangoli patterns and we also collected sticks to make nature firework sticks. 🪔🕯️🎇🎆
