All of our Year 7 students enjoyed an exciting trip to Carisbrooke Castle this week as part of their local history studies. They explored the battlements, keep and gatehouse, tried on medieval armour, and visited the room where King Charles I was held prisoner.
Students also viewed fascinating historical artefacts and gained a deeper understanding of the Isle of Wight’s rich heritage. The Humanities Department was delighted by the enthusiasm, curiosity and excellent behaviour shown throughout the day. A fantastic learning experience and a memorable day for all!
