If you employ a new member of your team up to September 2021 and put them onto an apprenticeship training programme it is fully funded in Wales.

If you employ a school or college leaver (16-18) as an apprentice you can claim up to £4,000 per person for your business ! If they are under 25 you can claim £3,000.

Has your business considered taking on an apprentice as you get ready to come out of lockdown? There are lots of ways you can take advantage of the FUNDING that comes with taking an apprentice.

Did you know that an apprentice can be anywhere between 16 or 56 years and the level of qualifications they can do is up to degree level? There is government funding available to cover the full cost of training. But as a company the individual has to be paid an apprentice wage, they are treated as an employee and they have to be released for training as per the requirements of the qualification being studied. That could be one day a week or one day a month. A lot depends on the programme, the provider and the level.
