Hunnyhill Ormiston Academy

It was the turn of our Year 5 and 6 boys to take part in a cricket game this week. The boys did very well against a strong Gurnard team, the smiles say it all. Well done boys.

Reception had a fantastic day at Forest School. They listened to stories, played games, made their own bubble wands and made spiders!

A huge congratulations to our U11 girls who entered an unfamiliar territory of the cricket pitch. After lots of focus and enthusiasm they fought hard against two other schools to gain well deserved runs and wickets.
Well done girls!

Year 6 had the pleasure of joining an online event with Michael Morpurgo. They listened to him read ‘Flying Scotsman and the Best Birthday Ever’ followed by a Q&A session.

Great to have 'Chance To Shine' cricket coaches in on a Friday to work with some of our children. There are still spaces for our Year 3 and 4 after school club. If you are interested contact the office for details.

Thank you to all the grown-ups, parents, carers, and families for coming to our Sports Day and cheering us on. We loved having your support and encouragement throughout the day.

Everyone showed fantastic determination and sportsmanship, and we are very proud of all the children who took part.

We are also excited to announce that the overall winners of this year’s house competition are… GREEN HOUSE!
