Rougemont School is a busy, friendly independent day school, taking girls and boys from Nursery right the way through to the Sixth Form. We believe in giving children a head start and we aim to do just that for each and every one of our pupils. At the heart of achieving this lies a supportive environment, where children are encouraged to learn, play, develop and reach their full potential as rounded individuals. Our small class sizes, the team of dedicated and approachable teachers and the excellent relationship between staff and pupils all combine to create Rougemont's distinctively caring and friendly character. GOLD AND BRONZE MEDALIST THEODORA🏅

Year 13 pupil Theodora had quite the summer competing at the Commonwealth games, European Junior and Senior Championships!

Representing wales, Theodora gave the performance of her life as the anchor leg in the Mixed 4x100m relay taking the team from 5th to 3rd!! It was truly a spectacular moment!

Theodora brought her Bronze Commonwealth into School this week along with two gold medals won at the European Juniors in Munich for the 50m Freestyle and the Girls 4x100m Freestyle.

Theodora also won two gold medals for heat relays at the European Seniors in Paris this summer too!

As well as achieving amazing results in the pool, Theodora also achieved outstanding results at AS Level with 4 A Grades.

Congratulations Theodora, we are all so proud of everything you have achieved this summer!

M4 BUSINESS NETWORK

This morning our Sixth Form pupils attended this morning’s M4 Business Network . A fantastic opportunity for our pupils to Network with local businesses at The Celtic Manor.

Guest Speaker Julian Lewis Jones, spoke about his Journey to become a successful Welsh Actor. Julian has worked alongside Oscar Winners, Morgan Freeman, Clint Eastwood and Quentin Tarantino. As well as many other talented actors!

Elite Athletes achieve remarkable results at GCSE!

At Rougemont, we are proud to be home to some of the brightest young elite athletes in the country. Last week, a number of our elite athletes achieved remarkable A and AS Level results whilst making waves and setting records in their respective sports. We're pleased to report that our elite athletes in Year 11 have also achieved remarkable GCSE alongside their sporting commitments.

Alfie is part of the GB Polocrosse team and balances his studies whilst competing at an elite level all over the world. Alfie achieved 7A* and 4A grades at GCSE and will embark on the next stage of his education at Rougemont Sixth Form.

Lloyd skis for GB Schools and often balances his studies with intensive ski training and competition all throughout the winter. He achieved 4A* 5A and 1B - a truly remarkable achievement.

These results are testament to the dedication to their studies supported by Rougemont's flexible curriculum approach for its elite athletes. Wherever in the world they may be, you will always find our pupils logging on and submitting work, never missing a deadline despite the significant demands of being a young elite athlete on the world stage. We are in awe of you! We look forward to you being part of Rougemont Sixth Form where you can continue to thrive academically and in your sport.

🎉⭐️BEST EVER GCSE & A LEVEL ROUGEMONT RESULTS!!🎉⭐️

Today, Rougemont pupils celebrate achieving the double crown, best EVER GCSE and A Level Results. As well as the best GCSE and A Level Results in South East Wales. GCSE pupils achieving a remarkable 37% A*!

After last week’s outstanding best ever A Level results, we are pleased to report that our Year 11 pupils have followed suit with an incredible set of best ever GCSE results. This morning’s results are the culmination of years of hard work, dedication and determination to reach their full potential.

Head of Rougemont, Mrs Lisa Pritchard shared “Our pupils’ excellent results are not just grades; they are proof of resilience, curiosity, and character, and we are incredibly proud of each and every one of them. We are particularly excited to share the next step of their journey at Rougemont Sixth Form - a journey filled with choice, challenge, creativity and growth. Congratulations to all our pupils on a very special morning.”

So, as we celebrate these outstanding GCSE achievements, we also celebrate the journey ahead — a journey where our pupils discover new strengths, meet new challenges, and realise they are capable of more than they ever imagined. ROUGEMONT RESULTS - Supporting our elite athletes to shine on the academic stage 🚴‍♀🏊🏼‍♂️⛵🏏

This year, our elite athletes in Rougemont Sixth Form have given some extraordinary performances in sporting arenas across the world. When it comes to school, their academic performance is equally as impressive and we are proud to celebrate their achievements.

Juggling the commands of elite training and competition alongside academic study is certainly no joke. It takes hard work, dedication and discipline. Rougemont supports its elite athletes by offering a flexible curriculum programme that sits alongside our pupils' sporting commitments.

Bronwen (GB Cycling Junior Sprint Academy) achieved brilliant results whilst competing during her time at Sixth Form. She is heading to Manchester University and will continue her racing commitments on the track.🚴 Year 12 pupil Ollie has also done a superb job of balancing his academic commitments with competing for GB BMX this year. We know his excellent level of dedication to both will continue as he enters Year 13.

Fresh from a 🥉 medal at the Commonwealth Games and currently competing at the European Championships in Paris, swimmer Theodora achieved 4 A grades at AS level with her coaches often commenting that she studies during any break she has and benefits from her teachers sending her classwork to wherever she is in the world! 🏊🏼‍♂️

Glamorgan cricketers, Meg and Amelie celebrated their fantastic A level results last week, too. Meg heads to Bristol University to study Environmental Geoscience whilst Amelie will take a gap year to Australia where she will continue to play cricket! 🏏

Welsh Triathlete, Albie, will read Palaeontology at Portsmouth, with Welsh Sailors Sam and Jack achieving 7 A* and 1 A grades between them to study Medicine (Cambridge) and Mechanical Engineering (Sheffield), respectively.

We are in awe of their discipline and dedication to both their sport and academic studies, and extend a big thank you to our incredible teachers who go the extra mile to deliver the curriculum - whichever continent our pupils are on! 🌍
