Kooth has evolved into Soluna by Kooth ✨

The Kooth mental health service for children and young people has moved to an enhanced
platform and is now called Soluna. The service will be available via a new mobile app and on
the web.

Everything young people rely on stays the same: free, safe, human-led support (no chatbots),
Kooth’s established clinical model, strict safeguarding standards, and its BACP-accredited
one-to-one chat service.

Huge congratulations to our Humanities Teacher, Miss Lowthion, on completing an incredible challenge at the weekend - abseiling down the Spinnaker Tower!

Miss Lowthion took on the challenge to support Age UK Isle of Wight, raising vital funds for the charity. She has already raised an amazing £1,000+, but if you are able to offer any further sponsorship, you can support her via her JustGiving page: https://f.mtr.cool/mh5qkbd0s3

👏 Well done, Miss Lowthion! Thank you for showing our students the importance of courage, determination and stepping outside our comfort zones to achieve great things.

Last Friday afternoon, students at The Island VI Form were able to take part in an exciting NASA Live Event. Broadcast by the Imperial Space School in London, the students were able to watch several NASA astronauts and engineers discuss their role in the Artemis mission aboard the Orion spacecraft. Around 40 students had the opportunity to interact with these scientists and find out more about this ground-breaking endeavour. This was a wonderful opportunity for Island students to reach out into the vastness of space!
