This week in pre school and pre prep we have been enjoying our topic of science. We had so much fun, we made some lava lamps, using water, oil, food colouring and alka seltz tablets, the children watched in awe as the bubbles appeared and rose to the top. We excitedly watched what happened during the skittles colours experiment, we had fun recognising and naming the colours we could see.
We have also been busy this week making our own volcanoes using air drying clay, we painted them and then on Friday for the grand finale we made our volcanoes erupt red lava! The children anticipated what would happen and talked about it in detail and were so excited, along with several of the staff too when the eruption occurred!
