We still have some opportunities to work with school groups in the Autumn term. What a way to kickstart the year... drop us a line to learn more and we'll do what we can to make it possible!

We are not like other centres…..

At Edgmond Hall we utilise a child centred approach to create a perfectly balanced programme of Discovery, Learning, Challenge, Support and Reflection.

Our courses are not about how much we can cram into a day, our focus is on providing the best possible holistic experience for education, personal growth, social development and mental wellbeing.

We don’t believe in activities which involve short experiences and waiting for turns. We believe in maximising the learning opportunities that the outdoor residential provides, supporting teachers to celebrate and quantify these experiences so that they can be used back in the classroom to help raise attainment and strengthen the learning journeys of the children who visit us.

They didn't know one of our team was at the prospective Y7 open evening, so it's a pretty nice feeling when the Headteacher, Head Girl, Head of Y7 and a current Y7 pupil of one of the TOP schools in the West Midlands each tell prospective parents and pupils how important and memorable their Y7 visit to Edgmond Hall is!

There we are, right above DofE in the prospectus. (ahem 😁)

"Our Year 7 students spend a day team building and getting to know each other at Edgmond Hall in late September / early October. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet classmates and forge new friendships that often last throughout their time at school!"

Shucks you guys 😊 . And imagine what we could do with a bit longer!!

In seriousness we were delighted to hear this. The autumn term is a key time to support transition; building relationships that last and developing a sense of belonging.

If you would like to have a look around and discuss the role please call 01215694440 and organise a look around.

We are looking for a dedicated and practical Site Supervisor to join our team at Edgmond Hall. This is a key role to ensure the maintenance, security, and presentation of our Centre buildings and grounds are at the highest standards. You will play an important part in creating a safe, welcoming, and inspiring environment for visiting pupils, staff, and the wider community. This role is located near Newport in Shropshire (not centrally to Sandwell as the advert may imply).

At Edgmond Hall, we welcome 100's of children and young people every month, to take part in adventurous residential trips and 'learning outside of the classroom' visits. The Site Supervisor has a key role in ensuring the buildings and grounds of Edgmond Hall provide a safe, welcoming and inspiring environment. Working alongside the domestic, gardens and volunteer teams; the Site Supervisor will ensure the safety and efficiency of day to day operations by responding to things such as maintenance issues, minor repairs and adverse weather situations under the guidance of the Head of Centre.

Assisting with planning the development and upkeep of the grounds and buildings, will be a key part of the role. Ensuring that the site remains fit for purpose and continues to develop to provide 'wow' moments to all who visit.

Other key areas of the role will involve supporting the team in the preparation of spaces, responding to call outs as part of the on call team and being a member of the Centres Health and Safety committee.

There is potential that the successful candidate could be provided with accommodation on site (2 bedroom detached cottage) at a reduced rental rate.

A huge thanks to Matt from RS who kindly spent a day volunteering with us this week 🙏. He helped clear blocked paths and cut back our archery area; hundreds of children will benefit from improved experiences at Edgmond Hall thanks to his hard work! He did help look after the goats, hens and rabbits too... Not too much of a chore though that one 😁
