ESTYN inspected and CIW registered for 24 children, we are a Welsh Medium Pre-School Nursery and wraparound for children aged 2 to school age with the ability to take rising 3s. We accept the 30hrs childcare offer, childcare vouchers and payments via Tax Free Childcare account. Cylch Meithrin Y Delyn is a self funded, non-profit making registered Charitable Incorporated Organisation, which is run by a voluntary Committee of trustees and is a member of Mudiad Ysgolion Meithrin. The main aim of the Cylch is to provide a happy, friendly atmoshpere in which children learn through the medium of Welsh. Language development is nurtured by games, stories and songs that all feature prominently in each session. In order to devleop new vocabulary, the children follow a different theme each term. The Cylch is led by a level 3 Leader and 2 assistants who are qualified and experienced in early years care and education. All staff undergo continuous professional development in all areas, including the use of Welsh. Our staff's aim is to provide a stimualting child led atmoshphere, with opportunities for play as set out within the Foundation Phase. The child's physical co-ordination skills are developed with the opportunity to work with apparatus, outdoor activities, ride on toys, music and movement, and percussion instruments. The children learn to socialise by playing together, with routine for each session being good preparation for the more formal structure of primary school education. Operating 9.15-3.15 Monday - Friday during term time, we offer a variety of services. The children bring along a packed lunch at eat together. We currently offer this service for children attending a morning session at Ysgol Gymraeg Ifor Hael and Bro Teyrnon, Casnewydd and Glan Usk. The children are collected by our staff and taken to Cylch Meithrin Y Delyn where they eat lunch with their friends and continue their day in a Welsh setting.
