We might have been quiet on this page, but we most certainly have not been quiet in Playgroup! Throughout our sessions we offer various sensory experiences which enhance many areas of development.

Does your child like messy play? Do they like to stimulate their senses? Then Little Acorns could offer them a fantastic learning opportunity!

We currently have some breakfast club and morning sessions available at the moment and afternoon sessions and after school club too (dinners are full so we are unable to offer full day care at the moment!) enquire now at [email protected] or 07741471456

As our children enjoy their summer holiday's, there is more of a chance in them experiencing a common ailment, such as headlice, chickenpox and conjunctivitis.

Did you know that these conditions can be treated via your local pharmacy instead of making a GP appointment?

The Common Ailments Scheme offers patients access to free NHS advice and treatment for 28 common conditions. The service is available from all community pharmacies in Aneurin Bevan University Health Board and offers an alternative to making an appointment with the GP to discuss the following ailments:

- acne
- athlete’s foot
- back pain
- chickenpox
- conjunctivitis
- constipation
- dry eyes
- dry skin
- haemorrhoids
- hay fever
- head lice
- indigestion
- intertrigo
- mouth ulcers
- nappy rash
- oral thrush
- ringworm
- scabies
- sore throat/tonsillitis
- teething
- threadworms
- vaginal thrush
- verrucae
- warts

In addition to services provided by high street pharmacies, pharmacy services are also accessible from a range of superstores, frequently operating outside the usual high street opening hours.

Wow thank you to everyone who has liked and shared this page! We will be adding more photos to this page soon so you can see the inside of the playroom too!

We have a very busy end of term coming up with lots of our boys and girls leaving us to go to Big Nursery and Big School. It’s always a sad but happy time to watch our Little Acorns spread their wings! Just wanted to share with you some pages of the special books (Learning Stories) that the teachers work so hard to create. Such a big difference from their first day and their last! As you can see the children are very busy getting creative and celebrating many different festivals! (Nursery children have slightly different books)

Thank you to the Mummy for letting us share some pages of her little girl’s journey to education. Only a sneak peek though as we don’t want to spoil any surprises!
