📢 We are seeking a new School Pastor Coordinator to join our team!!

⭐ This is part-time permanent role (16-22hrs)

⭐️ This role involves coordinating and supporting volunteers who provide care, encouragement, and pastoral support to students in Isle of Wight schools.

⭐️ Previous experience in a school environment will be prioritised alongside those with safeguarding experience.

⭐️ Candidates will be expected to complete an enhanced DBS check with child and vulnerable adult checks.

To walk the corridors

Behind the smiles

To listen and to care
And to try and help
And yet to know
Somethings may never change.

Called to be a school pastor
To check the timetable
And go to the lesson
Eyes searching the room
And noticing the empty chair
A student not wanting to be found.

Called to be a school pastor
To glimpse into their world
To be welcomed for a moment
Trusted to be kind
To stand close but apart
Solid and unchanging.

Called to be a school pastor
To listen, not to judge
To bring hope not answers
Truth not punishment
To hold the space
While they take a breath.

Called to be a school pastor
To stay present
Even after six weeks
Months or years
Not promising to fix
But to celebrate the wins

To love and to pray
To ask God for help
And to know and believe
That he can bring the change.
