Comedy and Drama teacher Abi was super impressed with your preparation for academy and how your character work has developed as we continue to build on our Roald Dahl pieces! 💛 💎 🖤 💎

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹! Since January our students at PQA, with the support of their amazing Musical Theatre teacher Jaydn, have been building their skills and confidence with singing! I couldn’t have been prouder last weekend seeing the progression our students have made. Not only are your vocals sounding fabulous but it is a joy to see you emoting through song so beautifully! 💛 🖤 💛

𝗦𝗮𝘆 𝗛𝗶 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲!! 💛 🖤 💛 After some time away working in the industry and continuing her creative training we are delighted to welcome academy assistant Caitlin back to the team at PQA Newport! 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀! We are incredibly proud of all our students at PQA Newport for the wonderful creativity they share with us each weekend. 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗦𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲! Our Blue groupers had so much fun with Abi this week in Comedy and Drama as they began working on a creative piece from Roald Dahl’s ‘The Twits!’ The group are using physical theatre elements to bring to life these larger than life wacky characters!

We are back tomorrow after our Easter break. We can’t wait to see you all! Just a few reminders as we head into the summer term! ☀️

⭐️ 𝗔𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘: Being at academy is super important now in the lead up to our showcase. This is also important for rehearsals and filming in Film/TV.

⭐️ 𝗣𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗧𝗨𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗬: Doors open to academy at 9:45am and academy starts at 10am (We understand there may be some unavoidable late running at times but please let us know in plenty of time!)

⭐️ 𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗠: Students should come to academy in their PQA T-shirt (a plain black one is also fine), black bottoms (shorts, leggings, tracksuit bottoms etc. NO JEANS!) and suitable footwear of any colour (NO CROCS!) Jumpers etc. should be of a dark/black colour please.

What a fabulous day we had at PQA Newport yesterday! ⭐️ Amazing to see all the hard work in all your classes. Absolutely smashing it! 💪
