We want to give them the
very best start in life, making sure their childhood is enjoyable, yet also prepare them
for the many challenges they will encounter as they grow up. Welcome to Wellies Day Nursery. We care for children from 6 weeks to school age,
helping them to develop through exploration, discovery and social interaction while
ensuring they are safe, secure and most importantly, happy. Our fully trained, qualified and experienced nursery nurses and assistants are
professionals when it comes to looking after your children. Based in open countryside,
on the outskirts of Milton Keynes, our nursery can care for up to 100 children, although
not all at the same time! We have accommodation for up to 63 children at any one
time and many come to us on a part time basis, based around their parents’ work
commitments and family assistance. When you need help with the care of your under 5s you can be sure that Wellies will
give them a happy and supportive environment, stretching their imagination while
looking after their individual needs. In fact, the very best start in life. Your child will spend their day in the
company of others from their own age
group allowing them to grow together
and develop communication skills
through interaction with their peers,
their key person and others within
the team. At Wellies we do not
believe in placing pressure on any
child to learn; each child is unique
and our aim is to help them to grow
naturally, at their own pace. Wellies has a distinct and well
loved personality which we believe is
why we welcome so many siblings through
our doors. The joy of watching whole families
develop and grow on their way from babyhood
to rising five is something very precious to us. A Day in the Life of
On arrival the children enjoy a free play session, either inside or outside depending
on the weather. They later move on to structured play which covers a wide range of
subjects, helping them to put new skills into practice in their everyday life. There will
also be one-to-one sessions with their key person or another member of the team. At Wellies we believe in the power of fresh air and the children spend some time
playing outside each day. The play area at Wellies is one the largest in the area and
has a wide range of equipment for the children to use including:
• climbing frames • slides • sand pit
• sit and ride toys • play house • big blocks
We also have a garden where the children are encouraged to help with planting and
growing flowers and vegetables. The nursery grounds have a clear view of the adjoining farm where the children can
watch the animals and farm machinery at work; sometimes we will take them to visit
the farm so they can experience rural life for themselves.
