Ousedale

Ousedale We aim to connect with pupils and parents, showcasing what we do at E-ACT Ousedale School.

E-ACT Ousedale School is an 11-19 academy based on two campuses, Newport Pagnell and Olney. We have an absolute belief that all children can succeed and become successful learners; Ofsted rates us good with outstanding features. We have built a reputation for providing outstanding pastoral care; this will be combined with a strong emphasis on building resilience, relationships, engagement, effort

and providing constructive feedback. A child first and foremost
is an individual to get to know, understand and respect, and secondly an Ousedale School student. The vision is heavily influenced by our values and beliefs about education and is shared by the staff and governing body; it also reflects the changing national landscape and the return to more challenging examinations with a greater emphasis on literacy, numeracy and the mastery of knowledge. Opportunities to broaden horizons and develop character are a very strong feature of the school. Whilst we provide students with an incredible range of enriching opportunities, our notable expertise and passion lies in the field of music and forms an integral part of school life. Students will leave Ousedale equipped to compete in a changing world and with a strong set of British values: democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance. It is very important to us that each student, regardless of their ability, has the opportunity to shine.

Pupils, staff and families at E-ACT Ousedale School are celebrating a strong set of GCSE results that continue the school's high standards and commitment to academic excellence.

Over three quarters of pupils achieved grades 9-4 in both English & Maths with a quarter of all grades being 9-7.

This year's outcomes represent another significant milestone in E-ACT Ousedale's ongoing success story, with pupils achieving impressive results across a wide range of subjects and making excellent progress from their starting points. The results reflect the determination and resilience of the Class of 2026, together with the unwavering support of staff, families, and the wider school community.

The success comes at a time when increasing numbers of families are choosing E-ACT Ousedale for their children's education, recognising the school's strong academic performance, broad curriculum and commitment to helping every pupil succeed.

Among this year's many success stories are:

Liesl who achieved 11 top grades - six grade 9s (including a 9 in English, Maths and Chinese) and five grade 8s. She will go on to study Biology, Chemistry and Maths at E-ACT Ousedale 6th Form and has aspirations to study Medicine.

Nathan who achieved four grade 9 results and five grade 8 results.

Nicholas who achieved six grade 9s, three grade 8s and a grade 7 and is going to study History, Politics and Biology at E-ACT Ousedale 6th Form.

Rose who secured six grade 9s (including Science & Maths), two grade 8s and two grade 7s.

Rowan who secured three grade 9s, six grade 8s and a grade 7, including outstanding grades in Music, Biology and English Literature. Rowan will pursue Maths, Physics and Music at E-ACT Ousedale 6th Form.

Theo who made exceptional progress and gained a Level 2 Distinction* in Health & Social care, grade 8s in Biology, Drama and English Literature making an average improvement of three grades above his target grades. Theo has aspirations to become a commercial pilot.

Louis who achieved three grade 9s including Science and Maths and a Level 2 Distinction* in Sports Science making an average improvement of four grades above his target grades.

The vast majority of pupils will now progress to E-ACT Ousedale's 6th Form - which last week was confirmed again as the top performing 6th Form in Milton Keynes - while others will move on to college courses, apprenticeships and a wide range of exciting opportunities.

Paul McFadden, Headteacher at E-ACT Ousedale School, said:

"We are incredibly proud of our Year 11 pupils; they have shown real determination, ambition and resilience throughout their time at E-ACT Ousedale, and these results are richly deserved. Their success reflects not only their hard work and commitment, but also the exceptional support and high-quality teaching they have received from our dedicated staff.''

"What is particularly pleasing is that these outcomes continue the strong progress we have made as a school. Year after year we are seeing pupils build on an established tradition of success, achieving strong outcomes and accessing an ever-growing range of opportunities. E-ACT Ousedale has become the school of choice for many local families, and today's achievements reflect the high expectations and aspirations we have for every pupil. Whether our pupils are progressing to sixth form, college or apprenticeships, we are excited to see what they do next and know they have bright futures ahead of them."

Tom Campbell, CEO of E-ACT, added:

" Congratulations to pupils at E-ACT Ousedale School on their GCSE results. This is a moment to recognise the effort that has gone in from pupils, staff and families alike. We are proud of what these young people have achieved and look forward to seeing what they go on to do next.”

🌟 Work Experience Round-Up 🌟
Over the last two weeks, many of our students have been out on work experience placements across a wide range of industries and workplaces. It has been fantastic to see them embracing new challenges, developing valuable employability skills, and representing the school so positively.
We have received some wonderful feedback from employers, who have praised our students for their enthusiasm, professionalism, willingness to learn, and positive attitude throughout their placements. It has been great to hear how well they have settled into their roles and the impact they have made during their time in the workplace.
Work experience provides an invaluable opportunity for students to gain first-hand insight into the world of work, build confidence, and explore potential future career pathways.
👏 A huge thank you to all of the employers who have generously given their time, support, and expertise to make these placements possible.

📢 A Fantastic Day of Career Development!
Today, Year 12 students took part in an engaging Career session at Denfords where they developed valuable employability and interview skills to help prepare them for the world of work.
Throughout the experience, students strengthened their listening and communication skills, problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and self-management, while gaining confidence and insight into professional environments.
We were delighted to meet and network with staff from Dentons, who shared their knowledge and experience, helping our students explore the different routes into the legal profession, including apprenticeship opportunities. It was a fantastic way to raise awareness of future career pathways and enterprise skills.
A huge thank you to Dentons for hosting our students and to Worktree for providing such an inspiring and insightful experience. Opportunities like these are invaluable in helping our students make informed decisions about their futures.
👏 Thank you to everyone involved!
