A Day in the Life of Preschool
On arrival the children enjoy a free play session, either inside or outside depending on the weather. Your child then moves on to structured play which covers a wide range of activities, helping them to put new skills into practice on their pathway to school readiness. At Wellies we believe in the power of fresh air and your child will spend some time playing outside each day. The garden at Wellies is one the largest in the area and has a wide range of equipment for the children to use including:
• climbing frames • slides • sand pit• sit and ride toys • play house • big blocks
We also have planters for growing vegetables, fruit and flowers
The nursery grounds have a clear view of the adjoining farm where your child can watch the animals and farm machinery at work, so they can experience rural life for themselves. We welcome you to Nursery to share your skills with us - visits from Parents to read a story, share their job and equipment you use. Refreshments are an important part of the day and we serve them at set times:
07:45 to 08:15 - Breakfast Club
09.30: fruit, toast and drink
11.45: lunch
14.30: milk with a savoury snack or fruit
15.45: tea
